Regular readers will know that every month I challenge myself to make the Mollie Makes magazine cover gift. I’ve subscribed since it first came out and have had a drawer full of unopened kits – but no more! I’ve been making more time for grown up crafting and I love to make the kits and hopefully try something new. It’s been ages since I made one of the craft kits which came with my magazine. Issue 103 came with a cute tiger keyring and Issue 104 came with some clothes patterns I didn’t want to make. Pom Pom watermelon craft Mollie Makes…

I thought it was time I posted an update on the painted rocks we’ve decorated and hidden recently. The two week Easter holidays gave us plenty of time to decorate rocks, and we were lucky to find a few too. It’s one of our favourite crafts because we always have the supplies close to hand. All you need to decorate rocks are some good quality pens and varnish to seal your design. Easy painted rocks for kids to make The Lego Movie 2 painted rocks My children both loved The Lego Movie 2. Have you seen it yet? It’s a…

Little Sis just loves her L.O.L. Surprise! collection. They are the perfect unboxing toy with layers of toys to unwrap, it’s not hard to see why they are so appealing to children. Little Sis was #gifted a special L.O.L. Surprise! box of treats to keep her busy over the Easter holidays. Unfortunately they arrived whilst we were away but she has had lots of fun holding a treasure hunt in the garden after school this week. Inside her special package was a box of plastic eggs filled with chocolates, an L.O.L. Surprise! Hair Goals, 2 x L.O.L. Surprise! Lils and…

I can’t believe that we first watched The Secret Life of Pets in 2016. We were invited to a screening and my kids look so young in the photos I took! The film was a favourite of my daughter’s and she still wears the hat she was given 3 years later! She collected all The Secret Life of Pets Happy Meal toys which she still has too! The Secret Life of Pets In the first film we met Max, a spoiled terrier who enjoyed a comfortable life in a New York building until his owner, Katie, adopted Duke, a giant…

Whilst we were away on holiday last week my 7 year old spotted colourful packets of Moji Pops whilst we were out shopping. We bought a blind bag to see what was inside and she immediately fell in love with the colourful characters with a face you can swap! Yes, you can pop out the face disc and turn it over for a completely different emotion! So much fun for kids who love all things emoji. Fortunately for my daughter she was #gifted a wonderful bundle of Moji Pops from Magic Box Toys so we can tell you more about…

I love to start the week by writing Five Happy Things. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing. Last week felt pretty long after an epic Easter holidays so we had a quiet-ish week. Five Happy Things {Week 238} I made sure I spent some time finishing my Rebels Get Results embroidery hoop from Cotton Clara and Rebecca Strickson. It was a gift from my husband for Mother’s Day…

Yesterday we took part in a Twitter viewing party with @SonyPicsAtHome for Spiderman Into The Spider-Verse which was released on DVD this week. Ok, so we may have missed the start of the party, but we still had fun watching at home, especially as we were sent a bundle of toys to play along with as we watched. Spiderman into the Spider-Verse Spiderman into the Spider-Verse is the first animated feature film in the Spider-man franchise. Teen Miles Morales becomes Spider-Man of his reality, crossing his path with five counterparts from another dimensions to stop a threat for all realities.…

Our latest game from the Blogger Board Game Club was House of Danger, based on the book by R.A. Montgomery. When I first saw the game it immediately made me think of the story books I read as a child, the ones with multiple possible endings where you choose your own adventure. I loved that kind of book and saw that the game was billed as a cooperative adventure game by Prospero Hall. Blogger Board Game Club: House of Danger Although the game is recommended for ages 10 and over our children really wanted to play it with us. They…
