Good morning everyone! I hope you had a lovely weekend and have a good week ahead of you. This week I am writing my weekly post from my temporary desk away from home. I’ve been looking forward to half term for awhile.
Last week was only a 4 day week thanks to an Inset Day for both of my children. We still had a packed week with Beavers, choir practice and karate lessons. We also squeezed in two Parents Evenings. I’m pleased to say both my kids received glowing reports from their teachers, I love to hear how they are getting on at school. I managed to find time for baking and crafting too so I was pretty happy.
Last weekend I made the worst video of Snot, the star of the new Smyths Toys Superstore Christmas advert. I’m the first to admit it wasn’t a great video but I uploaded it to our YouTube channel and of course it went mental. Why is it that the videos you take ages over no-one watches, but the ones that take a couple of minutes have to go crazy?! It’s currently at just over 12000 views a week after I uploaded it, my second most popular video ever.
My viral video helped me hit over 1000 YouTube subs which was my goal for the end of the year, so I’m pretty pleased to hit that target 2 months early. Now I’ve got 1000 subscribers I’ve reached a new level as a YouTuber. Next up is to reach 100000 views of my videos!
I was excited to be nominated as a top family craft blog at the dotcomgiftshop Blog Awards 2017. I love crafting with my children and celebrating the seasons with them through crafts. If you want to vote for me (or any of the other finalists) then you can do that here. Everyone who votes will be entered in to a prize draw to win £100 of their chosen dotcomgiftshop gifts.
Yesterday we visited a brilliant pumpkin patch in Somerset where we’re currently staying. We loved seeing how the pumpkins grew and there was an amazing variety to choose from. The weather was cold so we didn’t stay out long but we had so much fun.
