Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.
Monday Happy Things {Week 379}
Last week I finished reading Piranesi by Susanna Clarke. It was a bit of a slow burner for me but then it totally gripped me and I read it whenever I got the chance. I’m already on to my next book, The Helsingor Sewing Club by Ella Gyland.
I’ve made a start on some handmade gifts for Valentine’s Day next month. I don’t want my children to expect expensive gifts so this year I am making them. I’ve made my daughter an embroidered Pikachu on a little drawstring bag. I’ve nearly finished making my son an embroidered BB8 banner.
Over the weekend we went out to Runnymede for a lovely walk in the winter sunshine. There were several works of art in the landscape and the dog loved running around exploring. The sun came out and it was a beautiful place to go for a walk.
We watched Don’t Look Up on Netflix on Saturday which we rally enjoyed. It’s about two low-level astronomers who must go on a giant media tour to warn mankind of an approaching comet that will destroy planet Earth. It was really good and I’d definitely recommend.

Oh we watched Don’t look up too and thoroughly enjoyed it! Funny, and hits home! Love your list of happy things. I just finished a book so I’m gonna check out yours and see if they spark some new book happiness.
I love Runnymede, we used to spend lovely family days there with friends when the kids were little,playing games and having picnics
I need to watch Don’t Look Up – we have got it on our list to watch but haven’t got around to it yet! I love that you are making your children some lovely Valentines gifts.
