Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.
Monday Happy List {Week 330}
Thankfully my son went back to school last week as we are both critical workers. They only had room for my son which was really disappointing for my daughter. We are juggling her home learning around our work which is difficult but will hopefully not be for too much longer. It is a lot easier to help one child than two. We supplemented our home learning with some fun science experiments at home including a STEM challenge to build with marshmallows and spaghetti.
Making and creating has kept us busy too. I’ve been following along with the Wild Olive hearts day stitching club, basically receiving instructions for an epp mini quilt. I started so well but have fallen a little behind. I’m hoping I can finish it this week whilst watching a few episodes of Bridgerton.
Our pup is seriously over due a trip to the groomers. He is looking very messy and picks up all the mud on our daily walks. It didn’t stop the children from making him a DIY puppy kissing booth to play in. They made their own stamps to decorate the box and cut a hole so he could see out. They had a lot of fun with it, thank goodness for empty cardboard boxes!
We had a few lovely walks over the weekend re-visiting favourite places such as Eastcote House Gardens and Pinner Memorial Park. The cafe was open at Pinner so we were able to warm up with some delicious hot chocolate and brought home some carrot cake to enjoy as we warmed up. The snow flurries didn’t stop us from dismantling the children’s playhouse. They barely played with it last year so we took it down over the weekend. It’s left quite a big space and we’re currently planning how we can re-use the space, fingers crossed for some warmer weather soon!
Have a great week everyone.

February 8, 2021 at 9:27 pmIt sounds like a lovely week. The science party sounds like such a great idea. My son is really missing his friends but despite being a key worker they don’t have the space, juggling it is heavy going
Have a great week x

February 8, 2021 at 10:00 pmIt must be really hard to juggle the home schooling around work. It’s a shame they can’t have your daughter too. I hope she gets a space soon.
