I love to start the week by writing the Monday Happy List. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I love to write.
Monday Happy List {Week 278}
Did you survive Storm Ciara intact? Luckily we didn’t have any damage to our house and managed to do a few things and keep busy. Our poor little pup hated the wind and just didn’t want to go out in it (which resulted in a few accidents). The weather either side of the storm has been amazing with bright sunshine and I would love to see more of that with half term coming up.
Yesterday my daughter asked me what I would be buying her for Valentine’s Day! I’m not sure where she got the idea from that it was another commercial opportunity as we usually keep it low key. She has been busy making handmade cards and we had fun making Love Hearts painted rocks which we’ve already hidden.
Our little pup turned 13 weeks. Now he’s had all his injections he can go out for short walks and we find these really help tire him out. He’s pretty well behaved during the day but has long crazy periods in the evening which are quite difficult to handle. We paid for some puppy training at the end of last week and we learned a few tricks so I’m hoping these will help calm him down.
I haven’t bought many subscription boxes lately but I couldn’t resist the Love Paper Box from MakeBox + Co. I used to really enjoy paper cutting but haven’t done any since I got my Cricut Maker. I’m hoping this subscription box will spark my interest in paper cutting again.
Last week I was awarded my Slimming World Club 10 award! I have a nice little collecting of shinies on the back of my Slimming World book and I was pretty shocked to hear my target is in reach. Slimming World always works really well for me if I stick with it and I feel so much better for losing weight. I think that half term will be tricky as we are away a lot but I’m going to try to make healthy choices.
I’m counting down to half term! Have a great week 🙂

February 10, 2020 at 10:46 amI actually got on a plane on Saturday noon, just before Storm Clara. We did catch a bit of the wind it brought with it and oh my, it wasn’t fun being shaken badly at 36,000 feet in the air.

The storm kept me up most of last night, I’m normally a good sleeper so I am feeling it today.
Huge well done with Slimming world, huge achievement x x

February 11, 2020 at 7:50 amI thought the storm was over but there are still some strong winds around today. Your poor little pup. My nephew didn’t like the hail yesterday. It is quite terrifying when you don’t know what it is right?
That is cute of your daughter to ask about V day gift but yes a clear marketing stunt

February 11, 2020 at 11:01 amWell done on achieving your club 10 award, that’s amazing! We survived the storm, even our old fence managed to stay up which was a bit of a miracle. I am keeping everything crossed that we start getting some warmer weather soon as I am so fed up on the cold and wet now!

February 12, 2020 at 10:44 amWe didn’t have any trees down or anything broken from Storm Ciara but I know that there were some trees and branches down in my area! Well done for getting your Club 10 award!

February 13, 2020 at 4:45 pmCongratulations on getting your Club 10 award. We weren’t hit too badly by Storm Ciara but think this weekends one could be a different matter entirely.
