I try to make time to craft but I have to be honest, working outside of the home leaves me with little energy for it at the moment. I’ve been enjoying the quarterly Craftpod subscription though and always seem to make time to craft the contents. I ordered the Winter Craftpod box as a little treat to myself. It arrived just before Christmas so I packed it to take away with us over Christmas.
This was a colourful winter-themed box with two crafts – a soft sculpture of a woodland fox and a mistletoe embroidery hoop. There were extras too, including stork embroidery scissors, a notebook, postcard, print and teabag.
I love sewing with felt so the first project I made was the soft sculpture fox. The wool felt was super soft and easy to work with. Pipe cleaners were used inside the body to give structure and I loved adding detail with white thread.
Hand embroidery is perfect whilst I watch my favourite show on Netflix – anyone else watching Sex Education at the moment? The fabric panel was pre-printed which meant this was an easy project to stitch.
I managed to get my hands on the 4 Craftpod boxes from 2018, you may be interested in my other reviews:
