My 5 year old has been pretty much hooked on Minecraft since we introduced it to him a couple of months ago. He’s allowed 30 minutes a day if he’s done his homework and helped with some chores. I’d like to say it’s a family thing as my husband and daughter are equally addicted, I seem to be the only person who doesn’t play it.
A couple of months ago he wrote his Christmas wish list and Minecraft featured pretty heavily. I thought I would share our Minecraft gift guide with you, there are a few things he has asked for alongside a couple of Minecraft ideas I had.
Top of my son’s list was Minecraft Blockopedia, £30, published by Egmont. It’s a hexagonal hardback book presented in a stylish gift box. The Minecraft Blockopedia is fully illustrated and packed with essential information about each block and its uses. From basic plants and ores to enchantment tables and End stone, you’ll find every single block in here.
Blockopedia contains everything you need to know how to make the most of the blocks that make up your world – it’s a comprehensive reference tool for beginners and more experiences players alike.
He also asked for the Lego Minecraft Crafting Box. He has a couple of Lego Minecraft sets which he loves and I think he’ll have hours of fun with this.
We recently went shopping and he spotted the Minecraft jumper which he made me take a photograph of to send to Father Christmas. I went back the next day to buy it for him 🙂
There are some great Minecraft products so he will also be unwrapping an Activity book, Minecraft cookie cutter set, torch and Minecraft Survival Pack. I can’t wait to watch him open them and I can see we’ll be having a lot of fun crafting with Minecraft soon!
