    Lego gingerbread ornaments (40642)

    I mentioned a few weeks ago that I had purchased a couple of Lego Gingerbread Ornament kits for my kids to make. We found these in the Lego Store in Westfield White City and I knew they would make a fun activity for them to build and add to our Christmas tree. We love buying Lego at Christmas and have the limited edition 2015 Lego gingerbread house (40139), as well as the Lego gingerbread house (10267) which goes really well with Santa’s Workshop (10245). Yep, we love Lego at Christmas! Lego gingerbread ornaments (40642) Lego gingerbread ornaments (40642) contains 190…

    {Free printable} Santa’s Workshop Lego Challenge

    My children are full of the Christmas spirit. They have designed their own Christmas cards at school, been practicing for their Christmas assemblies and  keep changing their minds about what to put on their Christmas lists. It’s really exciting to see Christmas through their eyes. Both my children (and us adults!) love Lego. This year we added the Lego Gingerbread House to our collection, and soon it will be time to get our other Christmas Lego sets out. It’s just not Christmas without Lego! {Free printable} Santa’s Workshop Lego Challenge I have a free gift for all my readers today,…

    Lego Creator Expert Gingerbread House

    There’s a new Lego Gingerbread House available from the Lego Store and I was lucky enough to receive it on Saturday from my lovely husband! When I first heard about it I was pretty excited. It was back in 2015 that I built my last Lego gingerbread house, definitely time to add another one to the display! Lego Creator Expert Gingerbread House Fortunately we live close to a Lego Store and as we are VIP members we were able to pick one up, although I think non-VIPs can buy this set from the 1st of October. It’s part of their…

    Monday Happy List {Week 258}

    I love to start the week by writing the Monday Happy List. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing. Monday Happy List {Week 258} Family My 7 year old was awarded a Certificate of Merit “for always doing the right thing and working independently” – not bad for the third week of term! Making I made sure to finish the Over the Rainbow subscription box from MakeBox+Co. It’s been…

    {Free printable} 30 day Lego building challenge

    Do you have any little Lego fans at home? If you’ve followed us for a while you’ll know that both my children (and us adults too) just love Lego. Yesterday we visited the small city of Gouda in the Netherlands and we found a Lego shop! My son was able to build our family out of Lego minfigure parts and also picked up the latest Lego Ninjago set for himself. Of course it didn’t take him long to build his new set. You can find the Lego shop at Lange Tiendeweg 31, Gouda, if you’re in the area. Lego has…

    Lego Jurassic World Carnotaurus Gyrosphere Escape set

    My 6 year old adores dinosaurs. She always has and has been so happy at school this term as they’ve been studying dinosaurs. She has a great collection of dinosaur books, dinosaur toys and we’ve just added dinosaur clothes too. Have you seen the new Jurassic World clothing range at H&M? Sadly they were only in the boys section but my daughter didn’t care. But come on H&M – girls love dinosaurs too! She’s worn her new Jurassic World trousers practically every day! We also have some of the new Jurassic World Pez for our Pez collection. She loves watching…

    BRICKLIVE Christmas at the Saatchi Gallery

    Yesterday was the last day of our Christmas holiday so we decided to head into London and visit BRICKLIVE Christmas at the Saatchi Gallery. We all love Lego. Christmas was spent building Lego BB8, Lego Boost and the Lego Nutcracker so we thought this would be a fun morning. BRICKLIVE describes itself as an interactive Lego-based Show for Lego fans. You can wonder at expert builder displays, build a mosaic, build a present and even meet Father Christmas. The show was split across four zones, the Christmas Zone, the Creative Zone, Minecraft and Star Wars. Each one offered a different…

    Wednesday mindfulness – 5 happy things

    Slightly later than usual I bring you my weekly Monday Wednesday mindfulness post, about 5 happy things from the previous week. I popped into London for some last minute Christmas shopping. I really wanted to check out the new HEMA store on Tottenham Court Road and the Tatty Devine decorated Christmas trees on the South Bank. The two Smalls finished school which they were both very happy about. My son brought home 3 achievement certificates for gaining a certain level of House Points. I know I shouldn’t have but I bought myself the Lego Star Wars Ahch-To Island Training set. We…

    5 ways to use Lego tape

    Ages ago an advert for Lego tape kept appearing in my Facebook feed. I am so easy to market too as after a few days I got so fed up of seeing the advert that I bought some tape! Since it arrived it has been sitting and looking at me as I had no idea what to do with it. Today I thought we should finally use it. The children kept picking it up but they didn’t really know what to do with it either. It’s expensive enough that I don’t want them to just peel the backing paper off…
