‘Tis the season to make miniatures! We’ve been making miniatures for our Christmas mice. I think they’ve taken over from our Christmas elves, they definitely seem to have more accessories and props.
Maileg Mouse Postbox DIY
Our little Christmas mice needed a postbox for Christmas mail. A few years ago we made mini envelopes from wrapping paper and we never throw anything away. These are just the right size for a letter to Father Christmas, we just needed to make something to post them in.
We have an endless supply of cardboard tubes and paint so this was a fun after school activity.
We marked out the different sections of the post box with pencil, and also cut a circle from cardboard for the top.
The post box and top were both painted in red, the base of the post box in black, and a small section for notices in white.
We marked out a small slot for the mail and carefully cut this out.
The top was held in place with a little piece of sticky tape and that was it. The cutest little post box for the cutest little mice.
