First of all gather all the supplies listed above. Download and print the BOWTRUCKLE FELT BOOKMARK PATTERN SHEET above. Then roughly cut out the pattern with paper scissors.

Pin the Bowtruckle felt bookmark pattern onto two layers of the neon green craft felt with straight pins.

Carefully cut out the Bowtruckle pattern from the neon green craft felt with fabric scissors. Use small pointy detail scissors to cut out the intricate areas.

If crafting with younger kids, you can trace the pattern onto the felt and cut one layer of felt at a time.

Outline the Bowtruckle with green floral wire. Bend into shape with your hands and then attach to the felt with a glue gun and glue sticks. A low temperature glue works best with felt.

Continue bending and gluing the floral wire until the entire Bowtruckle shape has been outlined. Use silicone fingertip protectors if you have them, to gently tap the wire into the glue.

Carefully attach the top layer of felt to the bottom with the glue gun and glue sticks.

Go slowly and work in small sections. Don’t press too hard or the glue will bleed through the felt and leave a permanent spot that looks “wet”.
