Family Life Monday Happy List

Monday Mindfulness – 5 Happy Things

I hope you had a lovely weekend. It’s time for my weekly Monday Mindfulness post – 5 Happy Things from the previous week.

Last week I took part in the Mollie Makes Insta Challenge. I lasted 5 out of the 7 days! It was a lot harder than I thought but I enjoyed sharing some craft photos over on my Instagram for a change.

I got tickets to the Exploring the New Town with Sylvanian Families at the Mercure Leicester next month. I’m excited to find out more about the new Sylvanian Families town series and it sounds like a fun afternoon. We are going to make a weekend of it which will be nice as we rarely venture north of the Watford Gap!

On Saturday we went into London. My 7 year old is learning about the Egyptians at school so I thought he would enjoy a trip to the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology. We had a great day out in London, with lunch at Carluccio’s and a wander around the shops too.

Whilst we were in London we had to stop for a photo at Platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross Station. We’ve been reading the Harry Potter books and watching the films over the winter months so it seemed like a good opportunity to go and see such a famous London landmark. We had to queue for about 30 minutes and just before we got to the front my daughter decided she didn’t want to pose for a photo! I think she was a bit confused about where she would end up.

We’ve been finishing off some of our Christmas treats this week. The last of the Christmas pudding, white mulled wine and mini gingerbread cottages that sit on the edge of a cup of steaming hot chocolate. We still have some Christmas cake and chocolates left but I can’t imagine they will last long. I’ve given my husband lots of chocolates to take to his work – I’d much rather his work colleagues eat them than us.

Have a great week everyone!
