Monday Happy List

Five Happy Things {Week 479}

Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while over the last few years. It is my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I love to write and look back over.

Five Happy Things {Week 479}

Last week we all went to my son’s Christmas concert. He plays the clarinet and it was lovely to see him playing in the school orchestra.

Although I thought I was very organised and planned most of our Elf on the Shelf antics, it is still keeping me busy! Last week we had fun making our own AI Disney Pixar Elf on the Shelf movie poster which the kids really enjoyed. We also set up a Rick Roll Elf activity which got my teen!

Little Stitchy Bee stitched ornaments

My handmade Christmas items are slowing down a lot, mainly as I finished everything I wanted to make. I did buy a set of Little Stitchy Bee wooden ornaments and I’m hoping I’ll be able to finish embroidering these and pop them on the tree.

A few years ago I bought a Maileg gingerbread house and have bought a couple of extra items to squeeze inside it. My daughter is enjoying setting it up and it makes a lovely Christmas decoration.

Nutella stuffed pastry gingerbread men

We love some festive baking and have already whipped up some gingerbread biscuits. This year we also tried Nutella Stuffed Pastry Gingerbread Men. We used ready roll puff pastry sheets and it made for a quick and easy sweet treat.
