I have such a fun little DIY to share today. I made an easy walnut shell wreath to add to our natural Christmas decorations. Read on for our easy tutorial to create your own.
DIY walnut shell wreath
You will need
Whole walnuts (in their shell)
Glue gun
Plate or similar
Ribbon to hang
I’ve wanted to craft my own walnut shell wreath for a while. I even had my walnuts ready last year to make one, but time ran away with me. So think year I’ve started December with a make – our own walnut shell wreath decoration.
I picked up a bag of walnuts from our local supermarket, gathered a glue gun and covered my work surface. I picked a plate of roughly the size wreath I wanted, and used this to count the number of walnut shells needed.
I added a good squeeze of hot glue to the end of each walnut shell and pressed the next one on to it. I used the plate as a guide to keep my shells gently curving around the plate.
I worked quickly as the glue set quickly, and I soon had a complete walnut shell wreath.
I left it to one side so the glue could harden before adding a bow to hang the wreath up.
Have you ever made one of these before? Let me know in the comments below.

I love this such a simple idea but looks amazing I might have to try soething like this as have always wanted to make a wreath
I love this king of stuff. It looks so cool. You think you got it at a store.
I have never made one of these or seen one either but I love it….esepcially with that adorable bow you have for yours. Totally my style!
We were looking at a house once that had walnut trees and I could see crafts like this in my mind. We ended up getting something closer to town though, at that time.
I do not think I have ever seen a craft with walnut shells! What an interesting idea.
