Can you believe we’re already half way through the school year? This scares me a little as the year is going so quickly. It means I have survived a term and a half working in a secondary school, and that my children are halfway through Year 4 and Year 2. I’ve had both their Parents Evenings in the past few weeks and am so proud of the great reports they received. They both enjoy school and I love how involved they are in school life. I like to think they both get a lot and give a lot. One thing…

Does your child love animals? Mine does. Unfortunately we only have a tank full of fish since we lost our cats. The children have been begging for rabbits, puppies or kittens – or all three! Thankfully, Scruff-a-Luvs have brought out something to answer their prayers – limited-edition Scruff-a-Luvs Blossom Bunnies which transform from scruffy to fluffy. Scruff-a-Luvs Blossom Bunnies I love this idea for a toy! You can ‘rescue’ your limited-edition Scruff-a-Luvs Blossom Bunny and transform them from scruffy to fluffy! Isn’t that a sweet idea for kids? Simply wash, dry, groom and reveal which mystery colour bunny you’ve adopted!…

Monday morning again. Hope you had a great weekend (and half term too!). I love to start the week by writing Five Happy Things. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing. Five Happy Things {Week 229} We seem to have packed in an awful lot to half term. Now the kids are back at school it’s strange to think about just how much we managed in a week. We…

We like to have a family games evening at least once a week. Usually it’s a Friday as we have no after school clubs so there is plenty of time to relax at home. We’ve been playing a lot of games over half term and have a new favourite to tell you about! We were kindly gifted a box of LOL Surprise games and activities which have kept my 7 year old very busy. She just adores her LOL Surprise dolls so she was very happy to receive such a special gift. The UK’s no.1 toy brand L.O.L Surprise! is…

Toys + slime are so popular right now. We’ve been playing with a lot of slime during half term. Earlier this week we reviewed the new Poopsie Sparkly Critters, we made slime at our local Hobbycraft, and today are going to tell you about the new Crate Creatures Surprise Barf Buddies. You may remember that we reviewed Crate Creatures last year. They arrive captured in a crate. Each comes with a crow bar which you use to break the lock and unlock your new “beast” friend for hours of horrid fun, over and over again. They are quite interactive as you can pull their…

I’ve mentioned a few times that my daughter just loves slime. Yesterday we went to our local Hobbycraft to make slime and picked up some more supplies to make it at home. She loves playing with it and it’s fun to see how many different ways we can make it all year round! We were kindly gifted two of the new Poopsie Sparkly Critters from Poopsie Slime Surprise. We have reviewed the Poopsie Poop Pack and the Poopsie Surprise Unicorn, both of which are loads of fun for kids. Poopsie Sparkly Critters The Poopsie Surprise range has grown again with…

Monday morning again. Hope you had a great weekend whatever you got up to. I love to start the week by writing Five Happy Things. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing. Five Happy Things {Week 228} How did you celebrate Valentine’s Day? We gave each other cards and little chocolate treats. After school I set up a little mini gingerbread house decorating station. Earlier today we took part in the #Goosebumps2Party organised by @sonypicsathome to celebrate the release of the film on DVD and Blu-ray. We were sent a wonderful box of goodies to help us take part in the twitter party, including Goosebump books, face paint and gummy bears! Goosebumps 2 Be careful what you wish for. With their after-school junk business, best friends Sonny and Sam hope to find treasure in other people’s trash.
