An essential product as a new parent is a changing bag that fits everything you need to make life out and about that bit easier. I’ve gone through a few changing bags since Edward came along and they’ve all offered something a bit different. However, a new changing bag has been introduced which carries all your essentials and your baby too! I’ve been using the bag and it has plenty of room and pockets for nappies, wipes, a bottle, snacks and all the little things you need. The bag can also be used as a carrier and worn in three…

*****Competition is now closed and the winner has been notified! ***** I can’t exist without a good old cup of tea first thing in the morning so when I was offered the opportunity to sample some teas from The London Tea Company I said yes! I tried Decaffeinated Breakfast tea, Rooibos, nutmeg & vanilla, and Peppermint, spearmint & strawberry. The packaging is lovely and the teas are refreshing and a little bit different from your normal tea bag. The London Tea Company was set up in 2003 by a medical doctor and his elder brother, their vision was to…

Tommee Tippee have launched a new product which aims to make the life of a nappy changing mum easier and more hygienic. I was excited to trial the new product which recently landed on my door mat. With an average of 5,000 nappy changes to do between birth and potty training, ensuring germs and smells are safely locked away is a must for parents. At home we have a nappy bin which is great but what do you do when you’re out and about? Tommee tippee have launched the new Sangenic Wrap & Go which is designed to provide a…

It’s been a while since I baked something, well, at least a week. I can’t bear to let a cake tin go empty! I thought I would make something delicious and healthy as Edward enjoys the odd slice of cake too. Ingredients: 175g self-raising flour 1/2 tsp baking powder 150g caster sugar 3 eggs 3 ripe bananas 4 tbsp olive oil 1 tsp vanilla extract Method: Preheat over to 180°C/160°C fan/gas 4 and grease and line a loaf tin Combine the flour, baking powder and sugar together in a large bowl. Beat the remaining ingredients in another bowl. Stir the…

We had some friends over last week for a playdate. It was fun seeing three little people in the sandpit and great for Edward to have some friends to play with. They are so much younger than Edward that it reminded me just how quickly he’s growing up. It’s hard to believe he 15 months already, it doesn’t seem that long since we brought him home from the hospital. After a three day stay in hospital I was itching to get out and about with him but as we kept having to wait around for the community midwife visits it…

Only a couple of sleeps until Cybermummy 11 so I thought I would take the opportunity to write down my thoughts before the event. Cybermummy countdown I’m really looking forward to it. My husband will be spending the day with Edward so I don’t have to worry about them both, they will be having heaps of fun without me. I keep looking at the schedule and trying to decide what talks to go to. I’m really looking forward to hearing Sarah Brown speak, she’s my twitter crush. I was lucky to win a copy of her book and can’t wait…

My lovely Cybermummy sponsor NurseryValue.com asked if I would like to try one of their best-selling strollers. Now you all know how much I love testing new strollers so I was excited to get my hands on a Petite Star Zia in black. The first thing that impressed me was how easy it was to unpack and put together. We’ve been using it for a couple of weeks and it gets a big thumbs up from us. We’ve taken it everywhere, on public transport, to the local shops and in the boot for longer trips. My son is very happy…

I’ve been on the look out for a suitable tin for my button stash. I inherited a great collection of buttons from my grandmother, the buttons survived but not her old tin. Since then they’ve been stored in various boxes and even an old sweetie jar. Along the way I’ve picked up some lovely tins: But none have been large enough, until I found this old Cadbury’s Chocolate Biscuit tin in a charity shop. I think it really complements my vintage button stash and looks great alongside all my vintage thread boxes, patterns and ric rac. I’m linking up…
