I’m a little late with my weekly Monday happy things due to the Summer holidays. Anyone else feel as exhausted as I do already? I had a wonderful child-free weekend in Europe with my husband. We stayed in Antwerp and enjoyed sampling Belgian beers, waffles, and admiring lots of paintings by Reubens. We also caught the train to Utrecht to see the Miffy exhibition at the Centraal Museum and spot some of the statues from the Miffy art parade. I’ve had a beautiful bouquet of hydrangeas and cream roses brightening up our living room this week. The latest craft book…

We’re really enjoying Dora and Friends: Into the City!. Little Sis is now 3 and I think Into the City reflects the world that she is growing up in. She received some of the wonderful new Dora and Friends toys to review. These included the new Dora and Friends 8″ dolls, Dora and Friends Magic Charm bracelet, Dora Magic Adventure Charms and Dora and Friends Toy Smartphone. We’ve had great fun making our own charm bracelets, just like Dora. We liked the fact Little Sis was able to choose which charms she wanted to use and put them on herself.…

We’ve had all our Duck Tapes out as we picked up a few more at the weekend – Disney Frozen Duck Tape anyone? We’ve been re-organising our craft supplies and I thought we would use some of our Duck Tapes to make containers. Time to make: 20 mins Equipment needed for Duck Tape containers: Empty milk bottles Duck Tape Scissors How to make Duck Tape containers: First find a couple of different sized milk bottles and wash and dry them. Then carefully cut the top from your milk bottles with a pair of scissors. Cut small strips of Duck Tape…

The Summer holidays have started now Big Brother has finished school. We’ve been enjoying lazy mornings and lots of crafting. Luckily we were sent some lovely craft kits from Baker Ross and the children really enjoyed the mini butterfly sun catchers. It contained 12 butterfly sun catchers of four different designs and some ribbon to hang them. We used our fine tip porcelain and glass pens to colour them and I put down a plastic splash mat to protect my table (both from Baker Ross). My children love to craft but I’m not always ready with ideas and materials for…

Earlier this year Schleich introduced some new products to their Farm life range. A few months ago we reviewed the Schleich horse riding arena and we were sent some items from the new range which complement this set. We love Schleich toys, they are beautifully made with an amazing level of detail. They are great for imaginative play and the children have been having fun with the horse riding arena. It came with a horse, rider and a few accessories but I like the fact you can buy more. We received 3 horses, the Knabstrupper mare (item 13769), Tennessee Walker…

Yesterday I took part in a fun Twitter party and asked my readers what they will be celebrating this summer. I love taking part in Twitter parties and it was a fun way to share our important events and celebrations. I love sending gifts especially for birthdays or those milestone life events. As part of the Twitter party I received a beautiful bouquet of hydrangeas, a personalised card, as well as a gorgeous Me to You bear, all available from Moonpig. The flowers included hydrangeas and cream roses and have been making the house smell fresh and summery. I also…

I hope you’re not bored of reading about my little banners yet? I can’t help making them as they are just so satisfying and fun! Every couple of weeks I like to sign up for a craft swap to ensure I’m making things and being creative. The latest swap I took part in was the Handmade Gift Exchange from Craftaholics Anonymous. I’ve taken part a few times and made and received some lovely handmade gifts. I exchanged a few emails with my partner and we decided to make each other banners. I knew I wanted to make a motivational felt…

Happy Monday everyone, hope you had a great weekend. Our weekend started with a trip to the cinema to see the new Thomas and Friends film and ended with another classmates birthday party for my son. It was a busy weekend but luckily there are only 3 days left of school before the holidays start 🙂 I’m giving advance notice that I’m taking part in a Tatty Teddy Twitter party on Tuesday 21st July between 4 and 5 pm. It will be a fun Twitter party and I want to know what you’ll be celebrating this summer. Make sure you…

The other evening we celebrated the end of the School week by watching HOME as the Digital HD Version is now available to download. We watched it in the cinema earlier this year and quickly fell in love with Oh, a lovable misfit from another planet who meets a girl named Tip. The two unlikely friends embark on the greatest journey of all time…the journey HOME. It’s a lovely film celebrating family, friendship and fun, from the creators of How To Train Your Dragon and Shrek! We received a copy of the film to watch as well as three fun…
