Celebrating British Science Week with KidZania

Living in London we are absolutely spoilt for choice with things to do at the weekend. One of our favourite places is KidZania, a city for children, based in Westfield London shopping centre. Today we were invited along to Kidzania as they were kicking off British Science Week with an explosive one day Wonderlab experience, in partnership with the Science Museum. Celebrating British Science Week with KidZania To be honest I’ve never heard of British Science Week but I’m all in favour of anything which encourages my children to have an interest in science. We were lucky enough to visit Wonderlab…

Little Live Bizzy Bubs toy review

A few weeks ago Little Sis was sent two of the new for Spring 2018 Little Live Bizzy Bubs from Character Options. We’ve reviewed something from the Little Live (Pets) range before and it’s something my children still play with and enjoy. I was interested to see what my daughter would think of Little Live Bizzy Bubs. Little Live Bizzy Bubs New to the Little Live collection from Character Options are Little Live Bizzy Bubs! These little bundles of joy are way too busy for bedtime! Full of life and personality they can’t wait to play and show you what they can…

Diary of a Wimpy Kid painted rocks

My lovely little boy is going to be 8 next week. 8! I can’t quite believe that my lovely little baby is growing up so quickly. Thankfully he still loves to craft just as much as I do and we have plenty of laughs together. He recently discovered The Diary of a Wimpy Kid books which have been great for him. You may remember he was a bit of reluctant reader until he discovered Star Wars books. I didn’t think his Star Wars obsession would ever end but I think The Last Jedi might just have ended it for him.…

DIY photo fridge magnets for a personalised Mother’s Day gift

We have a lot of photos on display in our house. We have a lovely photo wall where we like to display some of our favourite family photos. I love to use photos in my craft projects too, and with Mother’s Day coming up, I thought it would be fun to create fridge magnets as a personalised Mother’s Day gift. We love to give handmade gifts throughout the year. Mother’s Day is a lovely date in our calendar and I would much rather receive a handmade card and gift than anything shop-bought. Follow my tutorial and you can see how…

    Spring bird hand print craft

Today the sun is shining at long last. It even feels a tiny bit warm but ssshh, I don’t want to jinx the weather just yet. With a touch of Spring in the air I thought it was a great time to have some after school fun with my daughter and create a hand print bird. She loves to use her hands and I think this kind of craft makes a great seasonal keepsake too. Celebrating International Women’s Day with Netflix

Are you doing anything for International Women’s Day tomorrow? I think 2018 is a great year to celebrate the importance of women everywhere. I love that there is already so much going on for Vote 100, celebrating 100 years since some women got the vote. The daily news show that there is still a long way to go for women to gain equality with men, but I’m excited that things are moving in the right direction. I’m determined to raise a strong girl and I’m sure she is a little bored of me banging on about feminism all the time!…

    Win a copy of Cock-A-Doodle-Poo!

Down on the farm there’s a terrible pong. (Well the animals are pooing there all day long!) SPLAT! What’s that? It’s a big cow pat. Farmer Jill is well aware of the ecological benefits that animal excrements can have for farmland. But she just can’t keep on top of it all, especially the phantom flying poo. But all suspicions firmly point to the rooster… Cock-a-doodle-poo! is a side-splitting, rhyming, riot packed full of toots, poops, plops and parps from award-winning author Steve Smallman and illustrator Florence Weiser. This poop-packed extravaganza is the perfect read for fans of Poo in the…

Sylvanian Families Town Delicious Restaurant review

We have been pretty excited about the launch of the new Sylvanian Families Town range for a while now. On Friday we were finally able to see the whole range at our local toy shop. Both my children were so excited to see everything and Little Sis immediately bought the Sylvanian Families Town Chocolate Lounge set with her pocket money. You can see her unboxing over on our YouTube channel. We were so lucky to be sent the Sylvanian Families Town Delicious Restaurant and Stella, the Chocolate Rabbit older sister figure. We made unboxing videos of both of these which you can…

Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things

I’m just a little bit glad that last week is over. It started snowing on Monday, through Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday, then it stopped. Of course school was closed on Friday which made no sense to me as the snow had stopped and we could get to school really easily. We used the unexpected day off to go looking for painted rocks and hiding some of the ones we’ve decorated recently, and had fun playing in the snow. Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things Monday started off well with a visit to my daughter’s school from Tom Fletcher. He’s…
