    Anti-Bacterial Slime Pots from Canal Toys

    My children have been counting down the days until our local toy shop re-opens. Our local toy shop is amazing and we have all missed popping in for a browse of the latest toys and games. My youngest loves slime so was excited to receive the new Anti-Bacterial Slime pots from Canal Toys to try out. Anti-Bacterial Slime Pots from Canal Toys My daughter has a huge slime collection but we have never seen a product which claims to help children keep their hands sanitised! Canal Toys have invented a great product which is perfect for the craziness of the…

    Exploring Oxhey Activity Park

    Our local area has some amazing places which we have been lucky to explore over the past year. We have the best of both worlds, being on the outskirts of London with easy access to central London as well as the surrounding countryside. I’ve shared some of our outdoor escapes and today I wanted to tell you about Oxhey Activity Park because if you have children they will want to go there! Exploring Oxhey Activity Park Oxhey Activity Park has only recently opened between a re-developed strip of land at the bottom of Oxhey Park towards the River Colne. We’ve…

    Why you should take part in online craft classes

    The one thing I have missed (after seeing family and friends) is taking part in craft classes and workshops in person. I have missed the opportunities that craft classes and events give me to try new things. With no Handmade Fair, no Knitting & Stitching Show or in person workshops it feels a long time since I got together with other crafters to make and learn. Of course many events have carried on online but I was reluctant to spend an evening looking at my laptop after a day at work. Easter Made Easy Craft-Along However when I spotted an…

    Monday Happy List {Week 338}

    Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List  is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write. Monday Happy List {Week 338} Although we were only back at school for 4 weeks we were all ready for the Easter holidays. We love Easter and enjoyed the preparations by making Easter Egg tiffin, Hot Cross Buns, Simnel Cake, as well as Easter gingerbread biscuits…

    Our Gingerbread Easter Biscuit Hunt

    I try to squeeze gingerbread into every major holiday. It is just the tastiest biscuit to make and decorate and enjoy all yer round. We were blessed with the most amazing blue skies and warm weather today which meant we could enjoy our annual Easter Egg Hunt outdoors. This years’ Easter Egg Hunt was special as I made the sweetest gingerbread biscuits for the children to find! Gingerbread biscuits make a great alternative in an egg hunt to plastic eggs or sweets. Find out how we made them! Our Gingerbread Easter Biscuit Hunt I love to bake gingerbread biscuits, they…

    Exploring Hillingdon Court Park with kids

    On our attempt to explore more of our local area we have been able to visit Hillingdon Court Park on numerous occasions. Hillingdon Court Park is a lovely open space within the London Borough of Hillingdon, another park carved out from an old estate, like Eastcote House Gardens. Exploring Hillingdon Court Park Hillingdon Court Park comprises a huge open space with outdoor gym, children’s playground, tennis courts, bowling green, as well as formal gardens. It’s a lovely space to walk the dog and take the children for a run. The children’s playground is lovely with different areas for different ages.…

    Cricut made Easter treat bags

    I’ve been really enjoying using my Cricut lately. I wish I had space to keep it out all year round but my crafting table is overflowing at the moment. I wanted to make some Easter treat bags for the kids to fill over the Easter weekend. We always have an Easter egg hunt in the garden. Last yearI painted little wooden crates and personalised them with their names using my Cricut. This year I decided to make something new for the kids to store their treats in, sweet little Easter treat bags. I found an Easter egg svg I liked…

    Handmade Liberty Easter Eggs

    I love Easter but it has really crept up on me this year. We’ve made Easter Egg Tiffin, folded origami bunnies and seem to be surrounded by eggs (both the edible and decorated kind). Over the last few days I’ve been decorating polystyrene eggs with some Liberty scraps. It’s a great little project for using up any Liberty scraps you have carefully kept. How to make handmade Liberty Easter Eggs I gathered my supplies: Scissors Liberty scraps Polystyrene eggs PVA glue Paint brush I made a small pot of watered down PVA glue and cut my chosen Liberty fabrics into…
