Headstone Manor Museum Christmas Light Trail

Posted on December 22, 2025 by jenny

We love a light trail at this time of the year. It can be difficult to find an activity both the teens want to do. They are both into their photography and a light trail can be fun for everyone, especially if the dog is allowed to come too.

Headstone Manor Museum Christmas Light Trail

We usually have to travel quite far to find a Christmas light trail. In previous years we have been down to Christmas at Kew Gardens and a Halloween trail at Blenheim Palace, both fabulous but a good hour away from us. This year we discovered there would be a light trail at Headstone Manor Museum in Harrow. Headstone Manor Museum is a fantastic museum and heritage site, tucked away in Harrow. It’s well worth a visit for the museum, historic buildings and cafe.

I booked the light trail quite late as I wanted good weather for our visit. Thankfully the weather has been dry recently so we booked a slot over the weekend. The trail was dog friendly too!

There were lots of different lights to see as we walked the trail.

There was music and projections onto the historic buildings too.

We all enjoyed the trail. There were more light installations outside of the museum and behind the granary. You could also book an audience with Father Christmas for the younger ones. There were also food and drinks trucks in case you needed something to warm you up. So much fun and can’t wait to do it again next year!

We really love light trails! We have gone to Kew this year, but hadn’t heard of Headstone Manor Museum – sounds like a great light trail.

all the lights omg…These are gorgeous. Light trails and Christmas farms are the best outdoor activities to do. Just amazing.
