I love to make home accessories and can’t resist using my favourite Liberty fabrics. Not only are they beautiful and go with everything, they also wash really well! I wanted to make a pretty sleep mask and used some gorgeous florals.

Easy Liberty sleep mask tutorial
I chose two fabrics from my stash of Liberty fabrics. I placed the sleep mask template on top of the fabric and cut round it with both pieces of fabric.
I placed one piece of fabric on the table, right side facing up. Then I pinned the elastic to the right and left side of the fabric, as shown on the sleep mask template. Make sure the edge of the elastic sits just over the edge of the fabric, the rest of the elastic needs to be doubled up in the middle of the fabric.
Then place your second piece of fabric over the top, with the right side facing down. Place the wadding on top.
Pin through the three layers, leaving a small gap at the top of the mask (for turning out).
Stitch either by hand or using a sewing machine around the edge of your sleep mask, leaving a 6mm seam allowance. Trim away any excess wadding and turn your sleep mask out.
To finish off, just turn in the fabric at the gap and hand sew it closed. Gently press to remove any creases.
Let me know if you try making one for yourself.
