It is very strange getting used to hearing about King Charles III after we have known him as Prince Charles for such a long time. We are looking forward to his Coronation, probably sometime in 2023. We thought it would be fun to raid our archives and find 10 Crafts to celebrate King Charles III.

Craft stick union flag craft – this craft stick union flag is also perfect for celebrating St George’s Day!

Recycled wooden pallet union flag – I love an upcycle project and we painted an old wooden flag to make a huge union flag for the garden
Union flag painted rocks – a few years ago my kids were always painting and hiding painted stones, these union flag painted rocks were one of my favourites
Decorated gingerbread crowns – we can’t resist baking some delicious gingerbread and these crowns were fun to make and decorate (and eat!)
Toilet roll mini crowns – the toddler made these when he was 3 and they remain one of my favourite crafts, older kids will enjoy making them too
Royal crown Stem Skittle experiment for kids – my daughter can’t resist a little science at home and we enjoyed making our very own Royal version of the classic Stem skittle experiment
The Gold State Coach craft – this paper plate craft is a great way to learn about the Royal coach used at the coronation of every British monarch since George IV
London Guard Popsicle Stick craft– we made these London Guards to celebrate the Queen’s birthday and they are perfect for any Royal occasion
Union Jack biscuits – these bright and cheerful biscuits were fun to make and the kids loved helping (playing!) with the coloured icing
Hand print crown craft – we created this back in 2012 , attempting to make the toddler’s hand print look like a crown which we then sent to the Queen!
Send a card to King Charles III – did you know anyone can send a card to the King? The King is shown almost all of his correspondence on a daily basis by one of his Private Secretaries. Make sure you address your card to His Majesty at the following address:
