Christmas Wreath Kit from I Do Handmade

{Giveaway} Christmas Wreath Kit from I Do Handmade

Posted on November 5, 2020November 12, 2020 by jenny

Get ready for a crafty Christmas with a variety of creative kits from I Do Handmade. Created by mother and daughter team Becky and Wendy, I Do Handmade is on a mission to encourage everyone to give the gift of creativity this season. All kits are designed to help people switch off from the world and give busy lives a dose of calm by getting creative.

Christmas Wreath Kit from I Do Handmade

From making your own wreath kits to kindness advent calendar kits, there’s something suitable for all ages. We were kindly gifted the Christmas Wreath kit to try at home. This was my first time making a wreath with real foliage and greenery but I was excited to try it. Inside my kit was real spruce, eucalyptus, pine cones and artificial berries.

Christmas Wreath Kit from I Do Handmade

There was a really handy video which made the whole process quite straightforward. First I made the half wreath.

Then I started adding the foliage, holding it in place with floral wire.

Once the greenery was in place I could add the decorations, which included orange slices, fir cones and artificial berries.

I was so pleased with the way my wreath turned out and hope it will last for a good few weeks. It took me about an hour to make the wreath and it was lovely and relaxing to try a new craft. For those thinking about trying mindful new projects in the New Year, I Do Handmade also offers all-year-round creativity kits including crochet, macrame and block printing kits. The Christmas Wreath Kit from I Do Handmade costs £20, take a look at their website for this and all their other craft kits.

My favourite thing as a child was wrapping up the tiny cereal boxes you get with variety cereals with odds and ends of wrapping paper to make mini gift decorations for the tree. Sometimes with sweets/chocolate inside. I’ll be doing that this year with our 4 year old.

We usually make cards & gift tags, using last years Christmas cards that we received. This year my daughter has taken up needle felting so she’s busy making tree decorations and ear rings, we’re also putting together letters from Santa for my son and his friends.
