I’ve been a huge fan of gingerbread for as long as I can remember. Every year I love to source gingerbread items to try at home with the family. This year I haven’t managed to find as many gingerbread themed items as previous years. However, I thought I would publish now and add any more products I find later. So far I’ve picked up quite a few gingerbread house kits, gingerbread biscuits and even gingerbread flavoured chocolate. My Gingerbread Gift Guide 2021 features the best gingerbread kits and more, all of which make the perfect gift.
2021 Gingerbread Gift Guide
Although I found a few new gingerbread flavoured products for 2021 I’ve also found a few favourites returning from last year.
Gingerbread biscuits
McVitie’s Digestives Gingerbread flavour biscuits
McVitie’s launched two new festive flavoured digestive biscuits last year, which were available in Morrisons and other supermarkets. The family favourites now come in Christmas pudding and gingerbread flavours to dunk in your tea. I was so excited to see these were back again for 2021. The McVitie’s Digestives Gingerbread flavour biscuits are £1.50.
Ikea Vintersaga Ginger Thins
Another product I can’t leave Ikea without is this tin of Ginger Thins. Perfect with cup of a tea on a cold day, these cost £3.25 from Ikea.
Tesco Gingerbread biscuits
Tesco Gingerbread biscuits containing miniature gingerbread shaped biscuits. £1.00 from Tesco.
Gingerbread chocolate
Cadbury’s Dairy Milk Winter Gingerbread Edition
Milk chocolate with chocolate flavoured creme (38 %) and gingerbread pieces (12 %). £1.00 from Sainsbury’s.
Tony’s Chocolonely Gingerbread Chocolate
Break out the Tony’s tree and hang it on your own tree. Or just eat it right away, cause this milk chocolate with gingerbread cookies is sooo good. All I want for Christmas is yoouuu..! Their vision is 100% slave-free chocolate. Not just their chocolate, but all chocolate worldwide. The more people choose slave free and share their story, the sooner 100% slave free becomes the norm in chocolate. The choice is yours. Are you in? £3.50 from Sainsbury’s.
Munchies Milk Chocolate Gingerbread Bag
Munchies Gingerbread consist of delicious milk chocolate squares with a gingerbread flavour and a crunchy biscuit centre, making them the ideal treat to share with family and friends. Working with Rainforest Alliance to support cocoa farmers and their communities. No artificial colours, flavours & preservatives. £1.00 a bag, from ASDA.

Gingerbread house kits
We love to bake a gingerbread house at Christmas (as well as Halloween, Valentine’s Day and any day really!). I’m always on the lookout for the best gingerbread house kits under £20 and so far this year I have found three.
M&S food Christmas gingerbread house kit
Available in store, the M&S gingerbread house kit lets you make your own gingerbread house. It comes with gingerbread biscuits cut to size, a tube of white icing to make a lovely snowy frosting and colourful jelly tots for those all-important Christmas lights. £5.50 available in store only.
Sainsbury’s Make Your Own Gingerbread House Kit
I love trying different gingerbread house kits so snapped up this one on a recent visit to Sainsbury’s. Everything is included, you just need to add butter and golden syrup. Sainsbury’s Make Your Own Gingerbread House kit £4.00.
Ikea Vintersaga Gingerbread House
I’ve been a huge fan of Ikea’s Gingerbread House kits for a few years now. Essential for a cosy festive fika, the gingerbread house kit is part of the Vintersaga range, helping you celebrate the holidays like a traditional Swede. Enjoy warm, cosy evenings with family, good friends and some good Swedish festive food which includes saffron rolls, mulled fruit drinks, and gingerbread biscuits. The gingerbread house kit contains pre-baked pieces to build your own house. You can also buy edible baking glue and packs of icing separately. £2.95 from Ikea.
Tesco Gingerbread Wreath Kit
I thought this was a complete baking kit but it actually contains ready made gingerbread biscuits, icing and decorations to create a wreath. Gingerbread Wreath Kit £4.50 from Tesco.
Ikea Vintersaga Gingerbread dough
I love to save time of my Christmas baking so picked up a few blocks of Ikea Vintersaga Gingerbread dough. £1.75 from Ikea.
Tesco Gingerbread Mix
The Tesco Gingerbread Mix is a firm favourite in our house. Really easy to use but full of delicious flavour. £1.15 from Tesco.
Gingerbread everything else
George Home Gingerbread house shaped napkins
George Home Gingerbread house shaped napkins from Asda were a steal at £1.00 for a pack of 20 napkins.
Gingerbread Jumpers puzzle from Wentworth Puzzles
This amazing wooden Gingerbread Jumpers 250-piece puzzle is from Wentworth Puzzles. It combines two festive traditions – the ugly Christmas sweaters and gingerbread cookies. What do you get if you put them together – edible Christmas jumpers! We really enjoyed this jigsaw puzzle and you can read our full review here. £25.00 from Wentworth Puzzles.
Gingerbread Milkshake kit
I couldn’t resist picking up this Gingerbread Milkshake kit from Primark, they also had a Gingerbread Man Cookie Baking kit £8 which looked fun, and a Gingerbread Man Cake Mug With Spoon £5. The Gingerbread Milkshake kit contains a mason jar, straw, hard candies, vanilla flavour milkshake mix and gingerbread cookies. Gingerbread Milkshake kit £6, Primark.
I hope you have enjoyed reading my 2021 Gingerbread Gift Guide. As you know, I just love gingerbread and I’m looking forward to trying out my huge stash of gingerbread products and telling you more about them over the next few weeks!
