I love to start the week by writing theย Monday Happy List. Itโs a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures โ itโs a post I love to write.
Monday Happy List {Week 280}
On Monday we left our Airbnb and headed to Wiltshire for a couple of days. It was really lovely to have a break from the school routine and spend time together. The weather was terrible but we didn’t let it stop us getting out and about. We’re already looking forward to the Easter holidays and we’re half way through the school year!
Our puppy loved being away with us over half term. He had lots of new experiences from dog-friendly cafes such as Finlay Browns in Teignmouth and the Three Daggers Farm Shop in Eddington, to playing on the beach at Dawlish. He met lots of humans and other dogs and seemed to enjoy himself, especially with my sister who came down for a few days so our little pup was able to socialise with her Bichon.
Since we’ve been home we’ve had our first Puppy Training session at the Dog’s Trust Harefield where we all learnt some new tricks to practise at home. It was fun and informative and we’re looking forward to going again next weekend.
We celebrated my husband’s birthday yesterday with a delicious lunch at the Rose and Crown pub and a walk at Rickmansworth Aquadrome. It was the first time we had taken our puppy out and he had a decent walk (with lots of stops for sniffing). We also found some lovely painted rocks which we took home to re-hide locally.
We love to bake so baked some gingerbread Bichon Frise biscuits for my husband’s birthday. I bought a 3D printed cookie cutter and used our favourite gingerbread recipe. We made royal icing to flood the biscuits and they were so good I didn’t manage to take a photo of the finished biscuits!
Have a great week everyone!
