Aquabeads Minions Playset review

Posted on March 20, 2018March 20, 2018 by jenny

My children love Minions, so today I’m going to share with you how much fun they had with the Aquabeads Minions Playset. You know that they love crafting with Aquabeads as we’ve reviewed lots of the sets over the last few years. They are basically beads which fuse together with a spray of water and are dry in 10 minutes! They are seriously simple to use which is why they are very popular in our house.

Aquabeads Minions Playset

We received the Aquabeads Minions Playset to review. This is playset so comes with everything you need – a plastic tray with lid to store your beads. The top doubles as the making tray, simply slip your template card underneath and build. There were a couple of template sheets and a small spray bottle which you fill with water to spray your finished creation. There was also a plastic peeler to help you remove your finished creation from the tray.

I have to admit that there were a few arguments over which child was going to make which minion. Thankfully we have lots of Aquabeads and template trays from other sets so they could both make everything. You can also buy other character sets and extra beads if you need them.

I liked the fact the tray and lid were yellow and blue, which are very “minion” colours. Aquabeads are great toys for my children. They have to concentrate to follow the pattern so I think these make great after school activities. I love that they can spray and peel them themselves, the are always so proud to show me what they have made on their own.

They both made all of the templates so we have a house full of minions, blasters, teddies and bananas. I need to find a way of using all their creations so stay tuned for some ideas of how to display your Aquabead creations!

The Aquabeads Minions Playset is suitable for children aged 4+. It is available from Amazon and all good toy shops.

These look like so much fun. I know a few kiddies in my family who’d love these.
