Shopping for Autumn fashion

The other day I told you that I will soon be celebrating my Ninth wedding anniversary! Woo hoo! Nothing screams wedding anniversary like a date night in a fancy restaurant. Nights out are pretty limited as a parent living in the suburbs, so I’ve been planning my outfit and general autumn wardrobe with thanks to Lyst.co.uk

I love shopping online and shopping around to find myself the best deal. Nothing beats gathering ideas from the comfort of my own sofa. There are some brilliant fashion trends for autumn and I’m excited about updating my wardrobe. Not only do I love Autumn but, thanks to Slimming World, I am also two stone lighter than I was – dropping a few dress sizes means I want to embrace my new found curves with some super stylish new clothes!

Unfortunately I don’t have the budget for a whole new wardrobe so I’ve been looking for a few key pieces to update my wardrobe. I’m going to get another year from my gorgeous winter coat but I’ve been looking for some gorgeous new knitwear.

I know that the colour red is going to be big for Autumn. I’ve read that it’s the one colour which suits everyone but I don’t think I’d choose it for myself. I prefer shades of purple. I already have my comfortable purple Hotter boots, and a favourite purple Orla Kiely handbag. I’ve found some smart black trousers and a couple of shimmering tops which I hope will be smart but casual, and perfect for date night.

Are you excited for dressing for Autumn? Do you love boots and comfy jumpers like me?
