Hi everyone! As you know, every week we join up with some other bloggers to share crafts and activities by a different letter of the alphabet. Todays letter is the letter O and this was an easy one for us!
Like most children, my kids love watching slime videos on YouTube and we finally got round to making some of our own. You may be wondering where the letter O comes in. Well we used Optical Lens Solution! Just in case the internet needs another slime recipe, here is ours.
Recipe for homemade slime
PVA Glue
Optical Lens Solution
1 tbsp Bicarbonate of Soda
Food colouring (optional)
Bowl
Spoon
This is the perfect, easy, kid-made SLIME recipe! It only uses 3 ingredients and has no borax or liquid starch.
In case you don’t want to watch the video I can tell you how we made our slime. We didn’t bother measuring but added the PVA glue, enough to cover the base of the bowl. We mixed in the Bicarbonate of Soda then a small squirt of the Optical Lens Solution.
As soon as the Lens Solution was mixed in you could see the slime forming, which the kids loved. They are really enjoying any hands on experiments at the moment so this was a lot of fun.
They added a little food colouring but this is an optional extra. It took them minutes to make but they played with it all day!
If you keep it in an air-tight container then it will last for a good few days.
