Regular readers know I love crafting and subscription boxes so it’s probably no surprise that I regularly feature the ones I try. The Makerly subscription box is a new one for me and I was kindly offered one to try out and share with you.
Makerly make craft kit subscription boxes for people who like making stuff (like me!). Each kit is lovingly put together to make sure you have fun making something awesome each month. Your box includes all the materials, instructions and patterns you need to complete a new project, as well as a craft zine, various tools and the occasional freebie too!
They are ideal for people who are short on time but want to squeeze some creativity into their week. The Makerly Stitch Up box is amazing value at £12, plus £1.50 P&P. They also run a a Paper Cuts and Mish Mash box – find out more on their website.
I enjoyed opening my box and it was pretty packed with craft supplies, all wrapped in little coloured paper bags or envelopes. Everything was supplied down to needles and thread so this is a great box for people trying something new who may not have a sewing kit.
My kit had all the supplies to make and decorate three fabric fishes. There were lots of craft supplies from pom poms to ribbon, sequins and feathers. I used my sewing machine but you could hand stitch your fish too. They would make a fab mobile or pin cushion!

September 4, 2016 at 10:01 pmMy daughter would love this, she is massively into arts and crafts. I like that it contains everything you need, making it (as you say) ideal for those who are short on time (who isn’t!?). It would make a lovely gift for someone too. Tx
