I am just about recovering from my son’s 8th birthday party today. He invited a bunch of his friends round to play console games. I planned everything so playing games online would be balanced by fun in the garden too. They are a confident bunch of boys and it was interesting watching them play together. They love their console games and my husband even rushed out yesterday to buy another DUAL SHOCK 4 controller, and went round to borrow another one from a friend! There’s nothing worse that having friends around but not enough controllers for everyone to play!
Anyway, we tidied up, stocked up on pizza and watched the boys have so much fun playing games. It was really nice to see (and made me wish I had more energy for these kinds of playdates more often!). They worked their way through all our games and tried out World of Warriors, a new title from PlayStation.
World of Warriors game for PlayStation 4
History’s toughest warriors find themselves summoned to a land beyond our own. In this mysterious kingdom, known as the Wildlands, the only way to survive… is to fight!
Romans, Vikings, Samurai, Aztecs, Spartans and many more have answered the call to arms, equipped with their pointiest weapons, fiercest special attacks and most blood-curdling war cries to strike fear into the hearts of players.
Fight against rivals, team up with friends in four player local co-op or go online and battle your way up the online leaderboards to become champion of the Wildlands.
Obviously my son and his friends enjoyed playing this. They are all really familiar with the PS4 and this type of game. For the purpose of giving you a genuine review I tried this game too. I quite liked it once I got my head round it all. It’s more fun the longer you play, as you unlock more of the 40 warriors, and their skills increase with every battle. There are plenty of arenas to play in and it’s fun to play on your own or with friends – just don’t play with your son because mine kept trying to kill me!
World of Warriors game is available to download from the PlayStation Store priced £24.99. Two people can play at home, if you want to play with more you have to play online, which requires PlayStation Plus membership.
