Win a bundle of Fat Quarter festive fabrics

Have you started your Christmas crafting yet? I’ve been planning some projects for a while and find November is the perfect month to start sewing. Overdale Fabrics recently got in touch and asked if I would like to try some of their Christmas range. They sell some lovely festive Fat Quarter bundles, so of course I said yes please!

I’ve always enjoyed the Scandi influence. I have no idea why the colours red and white are known as Scandi but they go so well together, especially at this time of year. We honeymooned across Denmark, Sweden and Norway so we’re big fans of Scandinavian style. Unfortunately I can’t claim to have a beautiful minimalist interior like you see across Scandinavian countries. I would love wooden floorboards, white walls and big windows but instead make do with our cluttered family home. Thankfully Overdale Fabrics sent me their Scandi Christmas Red bundle of 4 Fat Quarters so I could bring a little colour into our home this Christmas.

  1. My husband is currently making me a dress for christmas and I am planning to make some christmas cushion covers.

  2. I had a big declutter last weekend and found a stash of really nice fabric – one cream from shortening curtains by half and one a claret red left over from making curtains so I’m sitting looking at them thinking I may run up some simple drawstring gift bags that can be reused (and will probably be quicker than wrapping for me because I get so hung up on making it perfect!).

  3. I have finished my Chritmas cards (felted) and am busy maying Christmas bunting! I also hope to make some tree decorations so this fabric would be great for those!

  4. None for me atm I’m afraid, as my sewing machine is broken. 🙁 I was in the middle of making some pjs. Currently looking around to see what machine I want to replace it with. Hoping I might find a bargain on black Friday.

  5. Lots of tree decoration this year. I’m a teacher and we’re going to attempt lolly stick nativity scenes too… maybe a little overambitious from pintrest??

  6. I am going to attempt my own Christmas bunting this year, although I am still quite a novice so I’m not sure how successful I will be 🙂

  7. I want to make some Christmas table linen as I’ve never found any that fits our dining table when it has all the leaves in.

  8. Im doing a patchwork table cloth, for the families main chirstmas day dinner,so make it that extra bit special x

  9. Not exactly festive in itself, but will be a Christmas present- my little girl loves Sylvanian Families, so I will be making little clothes for them so that she can spend time swapping their outfits!

  10. to be honest no sewing projects planned this year.Think it’s gonna be cold so knitting is first on the list.

  11. I’m thinking of making a Santa sack for my little boy’s Xmas presents. It gives me a little more control over the free for all when he dives in 😉

  12. A wreath with knitted decorations – Christmas tree skirt and Christmas bunting (how great would your fat quarters be for this)

  13. I make Christmas pillow cases for my two boys every year. The following year I use them to hold their new pyjamas etc on Christmas Eve. The plan is always to recycle the fabric after that but this never happens as a) I am too sentimental and b) It gives me a chance to buy more fabric! (Not that I need an excuse…)

  14. We should (fingers crossed, touch wood) be moved into our new home by Christmas, so I’m planning curtains, cushion covers, the works! Fingers crossed I’ll get time to do some festive makes too!

  15. We’ve bought our first house this year and don’t have any Christmas decorations, so I’m going to make lots to decorate the tree.

  16. I would give mine to my mother-in-law as she is the sewing pro 🙂 hope she might make me some festive bunting if I won!

  17. I am more into knitting but my sister-in-law is an avid quilter so if I win – guess who is going to be very happy!

  18. I am making bread baskets (squares you button up at the corners) matching napkins and a quilted table runner. Oh, and coasters too. Thank you. And little stockings to go on the tree.

  19. I’ve already made 4 lengths of Christmas bunting for friends and family. I’d love to make some more but it depends whether I actually get everything sorted for Christmas

  20. Currently making tree decorations for a craft stall at local Christmas fair and then knitting some mini-stockings for sweets to go on the family Christmas tree.

  21. I’m planning on stitching some Christmas tree decorations for myself and friends. I’ll also make a stocking for my kitten.

  22. I am making some felt tree decoration, I keep meaning to make an advent calendar but still haven’t got round to it so that will have to wait until next year.

  23. I am making an advent calendar. 24 little bags made from different types of Christmas fabric and decorated with motifs and Christmas buttons. All the bags will be attached to a ribbon and the ribbon will be hung across the room. It is almost finished which is good as today is the first day of advent!

  24. I’ve just finished making an advent calendar for my boyfriend! Plan to make some stockings to fill with presents too 🙂

  25. I have almost finished decorated my living room and am yet to add cushions, so I would love to make my own cushions out of this lovely festive fabric that would go perfectly with my colour scheme and be a lovely addition to my living room this Christmas x
