Family Life Netflix Stream Team

What we’re watching on Netflix this Spring

Can you believe I’ve been a member of the Netflix Stream Team for a whole year? I’m not sure what’s more surprising. How quickly a year has gone by or how many great shows we’ve watched on Netflix! We were already fans of Netflix but I have to say that I have had so much fun working with them. Not only have they kept me up to date with all the best new shows, but they’ve also been really generous, sending us some great packages to ensure fun family time!

What we’re watching on Netflix this Spring

So what have we been watching on Netflix lately.

My 6 year old loves Spy Kids Mission Critical, Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, Larva and Lego Jurassic World: The Indominus Escape. We’ve watched the Lego Jurassic World episode sooooo many times, I really hope they will make some more soon!

My 8 year old also loves Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu (they both argue constantly about whose account they should watch it through!), Dinotrux, as well as Mutant Busters.

The children have been enjoying episodes of Dinotrux (Season 1-5), Beat Bugs (Season 1-2) and Spirit Riding Free (Season 1-4) and Netflix sent us some goodies to make these themed cupcakes at home! We love baking and the weather has been terrible lately so this was a fun activity for all of us. We baked chocolate cupcakes and then decorated them with all kinds of sprinkles. There were dino sprinkles for the Dinotrux cupcakes, fizzy green laces for the Beat Bugs cupcakes, and sweet little paper flags for the Spirit Riding Free ones.

It’s not only the children who have been enjoying Netflix. Us adults have been binge watching Marvel’s The Iron Fist and finished the last episode yesterday. I really enjoyed it, it was a bit different and as we’re surrounded with martial arts thanks to the children’s obsession with Ninjago and karate, it seemed a good time to watch it!

We’re also watching Season 2 of Designated Survivor, Season 2 of Stranger Things, and Season 1 of the Lost in Space reboot. We made some Lost in Space themed cupcakes too, with metallic cupcake holders and edible star sprinkles. I think these were our favourite cupcakes to make and eat!

There are so many good things on Netflix at the moment, I can’t imagine ever running out of shows to watch. I’m pretty excited to try the New Legends of Money reboot! Thanks Netflix for inviting us to work with you over the last 12 months!

Lost in Space is good, not quite as good as the original, but I need to keep watching it!
