As a blogger we all know that our branding is really important. It’s been while since I had my blog designed and I’m currently working with the designer of my present theme on an updated illustration. Yesterday I emailed a few ideas over and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with.
I’m not sure why but I’m quite shy about posting photographs of myself. I thought it was about time I got some new professional photographs of me and our little family. We have a photo wall at home but the pictures go way back to our wedding – it’s definitely time for some new ones! Lucky for me I was asked to try out a new service called Bidvine. It’s a clever website which helps you get quotations for the service you need.
You can use Bidvine for pretty much anything. Need a plumber? Get quotes from Bidvine. Need your laundry done? Need someone to cut your grass or bake you a cake? It’s a great way to find competitive quotes for local services in London.
First you need to register with the site so that you can receive the quotes. I prefer to be contacted via email but there is also the option to add your mobile and receive calls or texts. I added the service I needed, Family Portrait Photography, as well as a few details such as location and that I wanted the photographer to travel to me. Within an hour of submitting my request I was happy to receive 5 quotes by email!
Each Photographer sent me an email, some included a price but others wanted more information. Everyone was really friendly and many included links to their online portfolios so I could take a look at their style. Even though I had set my price limit I received one quote significantly under this, and one price at the top end of my price range. I think this shows that it is worth shopping around and a site like Bidvine is really useful.
