    Making simple mosaic hearts

    I’ve had some time to myself this week. I put my #sewalittlehappiness sampler to one side, and made some mosaics from a crafty subscription box. I really need some time to myself, especially after a day of home learning with my two. Since we’ve been at home I’ve treated myself to a few subscription boxes.     St George’s Day mosaic for kids

    Today my children are wearing their Cubs uniforms in honour of St George’s Day. Normally we would be looking forward to taking part in our local St George’s Day parade but instead we have been asked to wear our uniform, especially during the Clap for Carers this evening. Every year we try to mark St George’s Day, the patron saint of England. We’ve had fun painting rocks, making dragons and decorating wooden spoons in the name of St George.     Mosaic workshop with Michelle Greenwood Brown

    You all know I love a challenge. I’ve been wanting to try mosaic making for a while but just haven’t found any suitable mosaic courses in London. I really admire the work of Teignmouth artist, Michelle Greenwood Brown, so was delighted when I found she was running a course when we would be in Devon. The Mosaic workshop was called Creative with Crockery and promised it was suitable for beginners or those with some experience.
