    Top Secret exhibition at the London Science Museum

    If you are looking for something to do with the kids this summer in London then look no further than the Science Museum. It’s a firm favourite with our family for lots of reasons, mainly because it’s free and is a great place to learn about science! We’ve already shared our experience at Wonderlab and today went back to see their latest exhibition – Top Secret: From Ciphers to Cyber Security. Last month we visited Bletchley Park. We had such a lovely day out exploring it. During the Second World War it was the home of the British Government Code…

    A few weekends ago we visited the Chiltern Open Air Museum. Can you believe it has been on our list since we moved to Hillingdon 6 years ago? Yet it took us 6 years to find a free weekend! Anyway, we had a fantastic day at the Chiltern Open Air Museum with our tweens so now I want to tell you why you should visit too. A visit to Bletchley Park with tweens

    I still can’t write about our trip to Centre Parc Woburn just yet (there was just far too much sick and blood!). However on the way home we decided to stop off at Bletchley Park. We hadn’t visited in over 10 years and definitely not with tweens, so were long overdue a visit. A visit to Bletchley Park with tweens Bletchley Park near Milton Keynes is a lovely Victorian country house built in the Victorian Gothic, Tudor, and Dutch Baroque styles. During the Second World War it was the home of the British Government Code and Cypher School (GC&CS) and home…

    Exploring the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London {with a 7 and 9 year old}

    A few weeks ago we finally got to visit the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, aka the Harry Potter Studio Tour. I can’t tell you how long I’ve wanted to visit and I didn’t realise you had to book so far in advance. I’ve read all the books, watched the films, and tried to introduce my children to the magical world of Harry Potter too. They’ve watched most of the films so we thought we would book a family ticket and visit the studio tour together. Warner Bros. Studio Tour London We only live 20 minutes away from the Studio…

    Exploring Tower Bridge with kids

    A few weeks ago we were invited to visit Tower Bridge and The Monument, two iconic landmarks in London. It had been a while since our last visit to Tower Bridge, and we’d never taken the kids to The Monument, so we were looking forward to a great day out. The weather was perfect, so we jumped on the tube and emerged at Tower Hill a little later. Exploring Tower Bridge with kids Tower Bridge stands close to the Tower of London and connects Tower Hamlets with Southwark. It’s a combined bascule and suspension bridge, built between 1886 and 1894. It’s actually free…

    Subway, lead sponsor of the NFL London Games and the NFL Flag School Programme, are encouraging kids to try sport

    A few weeks ago, we attended a really fun free event at Piccadilly in the West End. Much of the street was closed for the NFL Kickoff which took over Piccadilly for the launch of the season. NFL is the biggest sport in the United States with more than 160 million people watching the Super Bowl each year. Did you know that the NFL is now among the fastest-growing sports in the UK and Ireland? Celebrating Vampirina on Disney Junior at ZSL London

    Last weekend we were lucky to receive an invitation to ZSL London. Who doesn’t love a trip to the zoo? Even better, not only did we have the chance to see some of our favourite animals, we were also lucky to celebrate the launch of the second season of Vampirina on Disney Junior and have a sneak preview of some of the new episodes! Celebrating Vampirina on Disney Junior at ZSL London I love ZSL London as much as the kids and we were definitely overdue a visit there. We got there before it opened and parked outside on the…

    Pick Your Own at Copas Farms Iver Heath

    It’s been a long time since we went and picked our own fruit and veg. In fact it is over5 years ago when we used to live in North London. Then we ventured north to Parkside Farm Pick Your Own Farm in Enfield. I think we had one child, there may have been two. What I did know was that another visit was well overdue. Now we live in West London it made sense to find something a little nearer us. So I looked online and found Copas Farms Pick Your Own. They have two sites, one at Iver Heath…
