Lego Jurassic World Carnotaurus Gyrosphere Escape set

Lego Jurassic World Carnotaurus Gyrosphere Escape set

Posted on May 13, 2018 by jenny

My 6 year old adores dinosaurs. She always has and has been so happy at school this term as they’ve been studying dinosaurs. She has a great collection of dinosaur books, dinosaur toys and we’ve just added dinosaur clothes too. Have you seen the new Jurassic World clothing range at H&M? Sadly they were only in the boys section but my daughter didn’t care. But come on H&M – girls love dinosaurs too! She’s worn her new Jurassic World trousers practically every day! We also have some of the new Jurassic World Pez for our Pez collection.

She loves watching the Lego Jurassic World: the Indominus Escape film on Netflix so we thought we’d try her with the ‘proper’ Jurassic films. They are centered on a disastrous attempt to create a theme park of cloned dinosaurs. The dinosaurs escape confinement and terrorize the human characters. So far there has been Jurassic Park (1993), The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), Jurassic World (2015) and of course The Lost World: Jurassic Park which is released next month!

We’re really excited to watch the new film and couldn’t resist a cheeky Lego purchase when we saw the new Lego Jurassic World range in our local toy shop.

My 6 year old chose the Lego Jurassic World Carnotaurus Gyrosphere Escape set mainly due to the dinosaur figures. It comes with a large Carnotaurus as well as a baby dinosaur.

Flee the flying lava rocks and a deadly dinosaur on Isla Nublar, with this dramatic Carnotaurus Gyrosphere Escape play set inspired by Jurassic World. Help Owen, Claire and Franklin make their escape in the Gyrosphere or truck, which features a 2-seater cab with sunroof, stud shooter, mobile control centre and Gyrosphere trailer with launch function. The overgrown Gyrosphere station has an exploding lava rocks function, Gyrosphere launcher and a dinosaur nest. It’s a fun set for recreating Jurassic World action!

I’d love to hear what you thought of this set? I have my eye on the Brickheadz Owen and Blue. I love Brickheadz and these would be a great addition to our growing Jurassic World collection.

What a great set. Ieuan would have loved that when he was a bit younger. The dinosaur is really cute too.
