I love to start the week by writing the Monday Happy List. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing.

Family

My 7 year old was awarded a Certificate of Merit “for always doing the right thing and working independently” – not bad for the third week of term!

Making

I made sure to finish the Over the Rainbow subscription box from MakeBox+Co. It’s been sitting around for a few months and I really wanted to finish it before Autumn set in. I was really happy with the three projects in the sub box and enjoyed making them.

My husband treated me to the new Lego Creator Expert Gingerbread House set. I thought it wasn’t in shops until the 1st October but our local Lego Store had them on display so my husband bought one for me. My children ‘helped’ me make it over the weekend and I’m going to enjoy finishing it off whilst they are at school today.

Reading

Ok, I’m still reading The Animals at Lockwood Manor. It’s a good book but I’m just not finding as much time to read now I’m back at work. I have a few more books lined up including The Photographer of the Lost and The Women At Hitler’s Table to read. I need to stop requesting any more books to read from Netgalley until I’ve finished a few!

I put up a review of Pocket Pompoms which is a really sweet craft book.

Have you seen the Mindful Christmas magazine? I bought myself a copy over the weekend because I’ve started planning handmade Christmas gifts. The countdown has begun with less than 100 days until Christmas and I really love to be organised. It’s got some lovely ideas in it. Have you started planning yet?
