I mentioned a few weeks ago that I had purchased a couple of Lego Gingerbread Ornament kits for my kids to make. We found these in the Lego Store in Westfield White City and I knew they would make a fun activity for them to build and add to our Christmas tree. We love buying Lego at Christmas and have the limited edition 2015 Lego gingerbread house (40139), as well as the Lego gingerbread house (10267) which goes really well with Santa’s Workshop (10245). Yep, we love Lego at Christmas!

Lego gingerbread ornaments (40642)

Lego gingerbread ornaments (40642) contains 190 pieces, enough to make and decorate 3 gingerbread ornaments. The basic structure is the same for each one, but it’s up to you how you decorate your ornament.

Inside the box was the instruction booklet and three poly bags. The instructions were super simple to follow.

Once you build the gingerbread person and add a hanging loop you can decorate them! The kids made their own figure first, then made Mum, Dad and Nan too.

The kit contains all sorts of different pieces to personalise your Lego gingerbread ornament. You can’t decorate the arms and legs, only the head and body. The kids used the ideas on the instruction booklet as well as their own imagination. It made for a fun activity we could do together, and they look great hung on the Christmas tree.

The only issue we had was that each kit contained enough supplies to build only three figures. There are four people in our family so we ended up buying a second box to get enough gingerbread people. So happy to have added these to our Lego collection.
