1. I’m currently in Bruges, my favourite European city, with my husband, son and mum. I’ve spent the last two days drinking beer, eating yummy food and doing lots of sight seeing. The theme for The Gallery had me thinking and looking back through my archives for pictures of trees. My son is obsessed by them and spent the first few months of his life sitting in his pushchair and watching the trees above him. I’m so excited about what 2011 will bring. 2010 has had its’ highs with the arrival of Edward as well as the lows with my husband being hospitalised twice. We’ve spent a large part of the year away from home due to his illness which put a dampener on my maternity leave. I hate to admit it but being married to a true IT geek means I am currently sitting in the hospital with my MacBook Air and MiFi card. When Edward was just three weeks old my husband had emergency surgery for a diverticular abcess. The pain came really quickly and was undiagnosed for a week before suddenly a blood test revealed what was wrong with him and he was rushed into hospital. It was a strange time in our life.
