    Monday Happy List – Week 94

    Another busy week for us and now we really are counting down until the school holidays. This week both children had their Sports Days and Class Swap Days. They are really tired and in need of the holiday. I am so proud of them for getting good reports but this term has felt long so the holidays can’t come quickly enough now. This weekend was pretty special as we enjoyed a family trip to the theatre to see the Gruffalo Live. My children can pretty much recite any Julia Donaldson story word for word so we were excited to see…

    The Gruffalo Live at The Lyric Theatre

    This July everyone’s favourite furry monster roars back into the West End in celebration of his 15th anniversary on stage! Tall Stories’ hugely popular production of The Gruffalo first opened on 12 May 2001 – just 18 months after the book was first published. The show returns to the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, London from 6 July and has just extended through to 8 January 2017, forming a huge part of this year’s West End calendar. Based on the much loved picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, Tall Stories’ adaptation combines songs, laughter and storytelling theatre with just…

    Paper Party at West Elm ({Blogtacular Part II}

    It’s time for me to finally sit down and write my second post about Blogtacular and the opening night Paper Party at West Elm. Last year I didn’t go to the Paper Party as I was just too tired from being up at 5 to go on the Photowalk before the conference. I was so envious of all the pictures being posted that I knew I wanted to go this year. The venue was West Elm, an interiors shop on Tottenham Court Road. Paper Makers took over West Elm to bring you hand lettering, paper flower making, colouring, origami, weaving…

    Yellow coats and a Photowalk around Notting Hill {Blogtacular Part I}

    Life has been busy lately which is why it’s taken me a while to get my thoughts written down about Blogtacular. Blogtacular describes itself as “the place for bloggers whose hearts beat with creativity to come together to meet, share and inspire.” I’m not sure that really sounds like me but I went in 2015 and had a great time. Last year I went on the Photowalk with Xanthe Berkeley, enjoyed the talks at the conference and took home an amazing goody bag. When tickets came up for sale this year I bought another one, even though I don’t really…

    Win a family ticket to KidZania London

    Earlier this month we were invited to spend a morning at KidZania London which is based at Westfield London Shopping Centre. KidZania is a city for 4-14 year olds with more than 60 real life, ever changing, role play adventures and they’ve just turned 1! It’s a brilliant day out for kids, blending learning and reality with entertainment. Your experience lasts for 4 hours and is a unique role-play experience where kids learn financial literacy, careers, teamwork, independence and real-life skills. You can read more about our fun experience over here. My children are 4 and 6 are loved every…

    Tennis for all with the Great British Tennis Weekend

    We are a family who loves watching tennis, especially Wimbledon, so we’re really happy it started this week! You are never too young to pick up a tennis racket, and when we were on the Ventura last week, we seized the opportunity to play tennis on their very own tennis court! Yep, nothing beats a game when you are on the top deck of a cruise ship! My children are 4 and 6 and they may still be developing their hand eye co-ordination, but they loved it. Tennis is a great way of keeping fit and active for all ages…

    The Secret Life of Pets film review

    At the weekend we were fortunate to be invited by Petplan and Universal Pictures to attend a film screening of The Secret Life of Pets. The film is a comedy all about the lives our pets lead after we leave for work or school each day and is released on Friday 24th June. Before the screening there were lots of activities in the foyer including from animal petting, making your own animal ears, and a photo booth. Unfortunately the queues were really long so we opted for the shortest queue – getting your own (human) dog tags. This kept my children…

    Monday Happy List – Week 91

    Happy Monday everyone, hope you all had a lovely weekend. Mine was hugely busy which has knocked me for six a little. It’s lovely to have exciting things to look forward to but oh-so-nice to come home to family after an adventure. This weekend I had my very own hall pass for 24 hours to attend Blogtacular. This was my second Blogtacular (read last years’ post here) and I had a great time; meeting lots of new bloggers, going on a Photowalk around Notting Hill, a paper party at West Elm and the conference itself. I’m going to try and…

    Monday Happy List – week 90

    We started off our week with a visit to KidZania as the children had an Inset Day. They loved the experience which you can read a little more about in this post. They are still talking about it which is always the sign of a great day out. I have made so many things this last week that I really need a break. I know I love to be creative but I have had some insane deadlines lately. I’m always grateful if people want to work with me but I have to not take on so much. It feels like…
