2011 has had its ups and downs like any other year but we’re ending it on a high – with an unexpected couple of days with family on the Isle of Wight. I won’t be making any New Year resolutions that I won’t be able to keep. Instead I have my Day Zero list which I’m really enjoying working my way through and will continue doing. There’s a couple of things I am looking forward to in 2012. Here’s hoping: Big Brother has a full set of teeth by the end of the year – I can’t take any more…

On the 19 September 2010 I started a Day Zero list: a place to record your goals, discover new challenges, and gain motivation to achieve them. I have a list of 100 things I want to do over 1001 days. The list is due to be competed by 16 June 2013. This has been a rubbish month for me personally. I think I underestimated how much time I would have with a toddler and new baby to look after so I haven’t managed to complete a single action on my Day Zero list. Aside from changing lots of nappies and…

Identify 100 things that make me happy this wasn’t too hard and I made it into a pretty word cloud with wordle 13.…

This month has been quite busy so although I feel like I have achieved lots of things, none of them were on my list! 8. Attend an auction I’ve looked and can’t find any auctions near us. Instead we went to the Antiques Fair at Alexandra Palace. I don’t…

There’s something to be said for a wet summer! My Day Zero list has taken a beating and I’ve managed quite a few of my tasks. In case you’ve forgotten on the 19 September 2010 I started a Day Zero list: a place to record your goals, discover new challenges, and gain motivation to achieve them. I have a list of 100 things I want to do over 1001 days. The list is due to be competed by 16 June 2013. 18. Bake a Union Jack cake I had so much fun with this task. It took a while but was…

Time for my monthly Day Zero roundup. 19. See a movie in 3D We managed to see the final Harry Potter film last week whilst we were on holiday as my mum babysat for us. I really enjoyed the film but found myself shedding a few tears (I blame the pregnancy hormones). 36. Have tea at an exclusive London hotel Thanks to my hubby’s bonus we had delicious afternoon tea at the newly restored St Pancras Hotel this weekend. We took Edward and he behaved beautifully. He enjoyed the sandwiches and cake as much as we did and the surroundings…

I love the end of a month, it feels really satisfying to think of all the things I’ve done or made, the events I’ve attended, people I’ve met and the new skills that Edward has picked up. June has been busy for me, it’s the month where I’ve had lunch with the Olympian Steve Parry, had my hair styled by Michael Douglas and my photograph taken with Sarah Brown. I’ve been crippled with tooth ache and had an emergency trip to the dental hospital and also had sunstroke. Pregnancy is making me feel tired but today I found out I…

Pippa at A Mother’s Ramblings has tagged me in the latest meme to reveal what I would sing at karaoke! I’ve never sung karaoke in my life but if I ever had some dutch courage and got up to sing it would have to be Everybody’s Changing by Keane. I listened to this song constantly for a while and it helped get me through some rocky moments. Not everyone likes Keane but I love them! In fact number 39 on my Day Zero list is to see Keane play live again 🙂 I’m going to tag the following to join…
