It seems that I’m not alone in having a bucket list. Apparently over half of the UK has a bucket-list of lifelong goals, whether it’s to row across the ocean or simply learn how to cook dinner for two without setting the kitchen on fire! However, as I well know, chasing those goals isn’t always so easy. To better understand what powers the people of the UK to pursue their dreams, Duracell carried out a nationwide survey – discovering that only 4% of Brits have achieved their bucket-list goals. Money (71%), time (44%) and motivation (19%) are cited as the…

I’m actually quite pleased to say that the Day Zero challenge I started on the 19 September 2010 has finished. It seems a long time ago but my 1001 days are over. I haven’t quite completed my list but it’s 87% finished, which is good enough. Time to start something new for me. This year has been busy with the house move and adjusting to our new life in suburbia. At the beginning of the year I said I wanted to slow down on the blogging front. It’s taken over my life and not in a good way. I appreciate…

Today you can find me guest posting over at PinAddicts Challenge about how to display vintage fabrics. If you haven’t yet, I would love it if you took a moment to vote for me in the BiBs Awards as I’ve been shortlisted in the Crafts section! (just click on the badge in the top right corner) On the 19 September 2010 I started a Day Zero list: a place to record goals, discover new challenges, and gain motivation to achieve them. I made a list of 100 things I want to do over 1001 days. The list is due to…

You know the drill. On the 19 September 2010 I started a Day Zero list: a place to record goals, discover new challenges, and gain motivation to achieve them. I made a list of 100 things I want to do over 1001 days. The list is due to be competed by 16 June 2013. In the last couple of weeks I have 5. Read at least one book every month for 12 months It’s taken downloading the Kindle app on my iPad Mini to finally get back into reading. That probably sounds a little bit silly but I don’t feel…

I have a list of 100 things I want to do over 1001 days. The list is due to be competed by 16 June 2013. Over the last two months we’ve been so busy. It feels like I’ve ticked off a lot of my goals and my progress is slowing down. I’ve managed the following: 20. Get the children christened We had a lovely weekend on the Isle of Wight with all the family…

I have a list of 100 things I want to do over 1001 days. The list is due to be competed by 16 June 2013. I’ve started writing my Day Zero updates every other month as my progress seems to be slowing down somewhat. 39. See Keane play live I was really lucky to get tickets to see Keane play live at the o2 Academy in Brixton. I love Keane and they’re the only…

One of my Day Zero actions was to set up an online shop to sell my vintage finds. I set one up months ago, have boxes full of lovely vintage things to sell but am nowhere nearer to actually photographing and listing items than I was then. I’m not sure why I thought an online shop would be a good idea. It’s not as if I have oodles of spare time but it would definitely help justify the time and money spent in some of my favourite charity shops! I have some lovely things to sell and I don’t think…

January went by in a bit of a blur (just like November and December, hmm in fact ever since Little Sis was born) so there was no Day Zero update. I have been busy though. 9. Lose baby weight No, I haven’t managed a miracle but I have signed…
