Day Zero

Day Zero – Month 17 (February)

On the 19 September 2010 I started a Day Zero list: a place to record your goals, discover new challenges, and gain motivation to achieve them. I have a list of 100 things I want to do over 1001 days. The list is due to be competed by 16 June 2013.

January went by in a bit of a blur (just like November and December, hmm in fact ever since Little Sis was born) so there was no Day Zero update. I have been busy though.

9.     Lose baby weight

No, I haven’t managed a miracle but I have signed up for Slimpods. My aim is to lose 2 jeans sizes and my goal is our wedding anniversary in September. I think this is a realistic goal and will get me to a pre-baby weight which would be fantastic.

12. Learn to ice biscuits

Does self-taught count? Despite living in London I haven’t come across many biscuit decorating courses which are run at a convenient time. I have been practising on my own and will be revealing some very exciting seasonal biscuits over the coming weeks having perfected my technique.

23. Make a snow angel

We enjoyed the recent snow fall which seemed to hang around for days. Big Brother wasn’t too keen on the white stuff but we managed to make snow angels before rushing back inside for toast and hot chocolate.

39. See Keane play live

I’m so excited that Keane have just announced a new album and tour. I have pre-ordered the album and booked my tickets for Brixton. I’m not sure if I’m more excited about a night out or seeing Keane in the flesh again.

46. Learn how to drive and 74. Pass driving test

I finally did it! I’ve been learning on and off since I was 17 (don’t even ask how old I am!) but I took my test last week and passed first time with only 2 minor faults. We’re going to look at cars this weekend and then I shall be off. I’ve had some bad experiences on the bus lately so will be relieved to be able to drive us all around without negotiating two little ones and a buggy on and off the bus.

79. Win a Maclaren pushchair!

I haven’t seen many competitions to win this specific pushchair but I’m happy to announce I’ll be testing the new iCandy Strawberry which I am very excited about as you know how much I love my prams.

Well done on passing your test. You will probably be able to find some biscuit decorating courses etc on YouTube as such a lot of things get posted there now. Good luck.
