    Slow cooker gingerbread recipe

At this time of year our Slow cooker gets a lot of use. It’s great as a working mum because I can pop everything in first thing in the morning, and come back from work with a meal ready to eat. It gets used a lot for family meals but today I wanted to share a different type of recipe, for an all year round favourite – gingerbread! Gingerbread is a tasty pudding all year round but is perfect during these colder months. It is so easy to prepare and absolutely delicious, especially if served with whipped cream or ice…

    Delicious Chocolate Gingerbread Brownie recipe

With the weather turning a little cooler I felt it was time to start baking again. After such a long, hot summer I’ve been craving my Autumnal comforts, such as homemade brownie after a walk in the woods. I noticed a jar of stem ginger in the back of the fridge and thought I would try a twist on our favourite brownies with the addition of some melted chocolate and stem ginger. It worked so well that I had to write the recipe down so I can find the recipe again when I need it and of course, share it…

    Mini gingerbread house mug hangers

I’m not sure how many years ago I first Pinned a very cute little gingerbread house that sat on the edge of a cup. I fell in love with the idea but it remained an idea, it looked far too complicated to make at home! Fast forward a few years and just before Christmas I spotted a Make Your Own Gingerbread Cottage kit in Lakeland. I hardly every go to Lakeland. How to make shortbread reindeer biscuits

There has been quite a lot of baking this Winter. Who doesn’t love baking? My kids love it too and it always results in some tasty tea-time treats. When we were food shopping one day, one of the children spotted a kit to make your own shortbread reindeer biscuits. We’ve wanted to make these for a while because we all know that reindeer are just gingerbread men upside down! I don’t have much experience of making shortbread as the whole family love gingerbread. But I was pretty happy to try this kit at home as we never have all the…

Today we visited the rather wonderful Gingerbread City in London. I heard about this a few days ago and knew we had to visit. Christmas jumper biscuits for Christmas Jumper Day

Did you celebrate Christmas Jumper Day today? It’s one of my favourite days in December. We’ve celebrated it for the past few years since finding out more about it. Today both my children got the chance to wear a Christmas jumper to school in return for making a donation to Save The Children. This year my daughter has a gorgeous jumper featuring a unicorn wearing a Christmas hat – all in sequins. My son has an Elf jumper (which I would steal if it was in my size!). My husband has a Star Wars jumper, I’m hoping he’ll wear it…
