Five Happy Things {Week 9/2025}

Posted on March 3, 2025March 4, 2025 by jenny

Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for the last few years. It’s my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of the adventures we have as a family.

Five Happy Things {Week 9/2025}

Over the weekend I finally finished my Liberty Tumbling Blocks cushion. I used black Liberty fabric for the back of the cushion, as no one gets to see it. It’s a large cushion and I’m so glad it’s done. The blocks are made is red, black and white so go well with our furniture.

I’ve been reading The Lost Dresses of Italy by M.A. McLaughlin for the last few days. I love an historical novel and I’m enjoying the story which is set in post-war Italy.

I’ve binged watched The Åre Murders on Netflix. I love a good Scandi series and this is a good one, fingers crossed for a second series.

Accidentally Wes Anderson puzzle

Although the weather has been lovely lately I’ve been trying to squeeze in another jigsaw puzzle. I found the 1000 piece Accidentally Wes Anderson jigsaw puzzle from Laurence King in a charity shop and really wanted to make it. We loved the Accidentally Wes Anderson exhibition last year and this is a fun reminder of it.

We celebrated St David’s Day with some yummy Welsh cakes from M&S. the last time I tried making them, they didn’t turn out well, so this year I bought them!

Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus!

    I’ll have to check out The Åre Murders. It is on my Netflix watch list, but I haven’t gotten to it yet. I’ll have to check out Welsh cakes as well — I am not familiar with those.

    Jigsaw looks good, I wanted to see the Wes Anderson exhibition but missed out. We are starting to enjoy blue skies and warmth too.

    I’m such a huge fan of jigsaw puzzles. I always have one on the table in the back room. They’re so relaxing.

    I absolutely love a Welsh cake, and the M&S ones are spectacular, it’s just reminded me I have some so I need to grab one out. That puzzle looks so much fun, we need to start a new one ourselves x

    Finishing your Liberty Tumbling Blocks cushion sounds so rewarding, and I bet it looks great with your furniture.

    Loving the idea of your Happy List and I am going to have to check out that book you mentioned above…. I am on the hunt for a new good book. The Happy List is something. that I love as it reminds me of my gratitude journal….. and I use it each morning to ensure I look at the positives for the day. It sets the tone and this Happy List seems to do the same. I love it and appreciate you sharing!
