Sylvanian Families Secret Island Playhouse

Sylvanian Families Secret Island Playhouse

Posted on June 18, 2017January 19, 2026 by jenny

Little Sis is a very lucky little lady. She’s been quite poorly lately and seems to keep picking up the same tummy bug which is passing through her Reception class. She’s had quite a few days at home with me (which I secretly enjoy and I think she does too!). Last week she was at home, sick again, when we had a very special delivery. As Friends of Sylvanian Families we were so lucky to receive the Sylvanian Families Secret Island Playhouse to review!

Take a look at our unboxing video before I tell you a little more about it.

Sylvanian Families Secret Island Playhouse

What better place could there be to play than a secret island playhouse with two floors above the ocean. Every sylvanian child’s dream, this seaside hideaway is an idyllic place for the sylvanians to have all manner of adventures and it includes everything they’ll need from a map and goggles, to a pair of fins that are just the right fit.

As well as a neat log table and chairs, there are all sorts of accessories including decorative ivy, a book to keep them occupied and even a rainbow fish to spot when snorkelling. But shhhh. It’s a secret!

This is a lovely, colourful set and has been a huge hit with the 5 and 7 year old. The playset goes really well with some of the other sets we have, like the Sylvanian Families Adventure Treasure Ship and the Sylvanian Families Splash and Play Whale playset. I also spotted some fun little accessory sets in our local toyshop which I’m very tempted to buy to go with the Secret Island Playhouse.

This set doesn’t come with any figures but it includes a few well thought out accessories. The diving goggles and flippers are cute and easy to use. There is a built in bed and you can take the ocean floor off if you want to create a separate play area.

The Sylvanian Families Secret Island Playhouse costs around £39.99 and is available from Amazon and all good toy shops.

My daughter would have been all over this when she was younger – in fact, when I was a little girl I would have been too! They make some awesome toys and collectables for kids these days don’t they?

I had so many Sylvanians when I was a kid, the original ones – they’re all up in my parents’ loft! I never had an island like this though! It looks fab x

I’ve not seen this one before. I used to love playing with these when I was little. My nanny charge girls birthday is coming up soon and have asked me for some Syvanian Families! I will have to see what set(s) I will buy them 🙂 the secret island playhouse looks amazing but may be just a bit too pricey!

My daughter is still a bit too young at two and a half for Sylvanian Families I think but I for one can’t wait for her to get into them, they have so many amazing accessories.
