I think it’s pretty apt that my last post was about baking. We’re a family who loves to spend time in the kitchen and our last bake, fingerprint cookies, went down pretty well. So I knew that my 5 year old would love to review the Sylvanian Families Cake Decorating Set.

My daughter has collected Sylvanian Families for years. It’s easily one of her favourite toys and I love that she can play with the figures, the buildings, vehicles or just get everything out and cover the floor for days on end.
We thought we would try and make a little video so please take a look at our review of the Sylvanian Families Cake Decorating Set. Please be kind! We don’t make many videos and she often lets her brother do the talking. We also had to contend with the 7 year old watching and making ‘helpful’ comments which I’ve tried to edit out! However, I think my 5 year old has caught the video bug so hopefully we’ll be able to share a video of her SF collection soon.
The Sylvanian Families Cake Decorating Set is a cute set and a great addition to the range. The Set contains the toy poodle girl who wears a special dress complete with an apron for baking, along with an array of cakes and delicate decorations.
Melinda Cakebread loves nothing more than getting her paws stuck into a spot of baking – putting the finishing touches on a cake is her favourite part of all time. When she’s all grown-up, her dream is to open a cake shop of her own.
This sweet set has all of the ingredients you need to get baking; a cake mould, server, lace paper to make your cakes look pretty, as well as the freshest strawberries to give your creations that extra flavour. Yum.
My daughter immediately added this set to the Brick Oven Bakery which is easily her favourite playset. However this set stands alone and can be played with on its own or added to other Sylvanian Families sets for hours of fun.
