Monday Happy List

Sunday Happy Things {Week 443}

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while although now I’m moved it to Sunday. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write.

Sunday Happy Things {Week 443}

We have survived one week of the Easter holidays. The weather has been amazing (mostly) and our garden has suddenly burst into life, we were even able to cut the grass for the first time this year.

I’ve been stitching a sweet Easter themed hoop featuring a floral bunny, as well as the Happiness mini quilt.

We enjoyed a few days away in York and managed to squeeze in a lot, including the famous Bile Beans sign. We visited Pontefract Castle, York Minster, the National Railway Museum, the Treasurer’s House, Jorvik Viking Centre as well as a very cute cat cafe called The Cat’s Whiskers. We ate sweet treats from the famous Betty’s tea room, as well as a Yorkshire Pudding wrap for lunch.

We’ve been playing a lot of Carcassonne too. It’s a tile-laying game in which players fill in the countryside around the fortified city. We recently started using one of the expansion packs (Inns and Cathedrals) and found a great board game shop in York where we picked up another expansion pack – The Tower which gives you the ability to build towers!

Have you seen The Night Agent on Netflix? We binge watched the spy drama whilst we were away and are already looking forward to the next series.

Have a great week!
