Monday Happy List

Sunday Happy Things {Week 436}

Liberty tumbling blocks

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while although now I’m moved it to Sunday. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write.

Sunday Happy Things {Week 436}

Last week was half term and we were all looking forward to a break and spending some time together. We enjoyed a few days away at an amazing airbnb in Gosport and visited Porchester Castle, the Submarine Museum, Explosion, the Mary Rose, HMS Victory and took a harbour boat tour too. I’ve shared a post all about our adventures exploring Portsmouth Dockyard here. We had some great weather and it was lovely to be outside.

I decided to pick up my tumbling blocks cushion using Liberty fabrics. I started this project ages ago and I’m not sure why I put it away. I’m using 2″ diamonds and have been cutting out fabrics and making them into EPP. It’s mindless but fun and perfect for a little evening stitching.

As it was half term it felt like we had more time to sit and relax. We finally got round to watching both Matilda The Musical, and The Railway Children Return. We enjoyed them both.

There was no tv or wifi at our airbnb which was actually quite refreshing. I finished reading Homecoming by Kate Morton which I really enjoyed.
