I’m finding it hard to believe that February is nearly over, especially when January crawled by. February has rushed by and the days are noticeably longer and I would have said warmer if it weren’t for the horrific forecast of snow that is due to hit the UK tomorrow. Thankfully March is looking to be a fun month and we’re looking forward to celebrating St David’s Day on Thursday 1st March.
I love St David’s Day. I have Welsh ancestry which I’m very proud of. St David’s Day is the feast day of Saint David, the patron saint of Wales, and falls on 1 March, the date of Saint David’s death in 589 AD. St. David’s Day is the national day of Wales and always makes me think of bara brith (fruited bread), teisen bach (Welsh cake), leeks and daffodils.
February has come and gone so quickly that we haven’t had time to make any new St David’s Day crafts. I’ve been having a look through some of our previous crafts and thought I would share them along with some I can’t wait to try from other parent bloggers.
