Signs of the Sewdiac Subscription Box

Signs of the Sewdiac Subscription Box {January Box}

Posted on January 30, 2018 by jenny

Just before Christmas I heard about a new subscription box for crafters, the Signs of the Sewdiac Subscription Box from Samantha Claridge at Sew Crafty.

I liked the idea of this subscription kit because it’s a 12 months one that you can dip in and out of. It promised a selection of products to complement a creative lifestyle.

Every box would include a collectable enamel pin and selection of exclusive products including notepads, greetings cards, postcards, pens, pencils, patches, fabric, haberdashery, stickers as well as complimentary products available on the website. For example, a banner to keep your pin badge collection together, t-shirts, hoodies and sewing kits.

So what was inside the first Signs of the Sewdiac box?

The theme of the box was The Thimble, one of my essential sewing tools! The theme carried over all the products which I really liked. Inside my sub box was a notecard and envelope, notepad and pencil, cloth patch, sticker and enamel pin badge all featuring The Thimble design.

I love monchrome so the black and white/stargrazing/sewing theme ticked all the boxes for me. I love stationery and pin badges and each monthly box will feature a slightly different selection of Sewdiac products but there will always be a new enamel pin of that month’s sign.

I’ve been meaning to make a banner for my pin badge collection for some time so I definitely feel like I have an excellent reason to get on with that now. The subscription was really good value at £12 per box and there was also a code ‘itsasign’ which got me £2 off my first box!

I’m looking forward to future boxes and I’m hoping that there will be a craft kit or fabric swatch in a future box. Constellations are bang on trend this year so I think this will be a really successful sub box.
